Cards - All Occasion - Gold Decorative Paper

I found a sheet of this decorative paper at the ReUse Center a while back. I have used it as a background for photography but now it had to be used.

I recognized that almost any card color would work with it so then it was to decide embellishments.

I need cards for my card box.

I chose SU Soft Sky A2 card base. I ripped a piece of the paper and adhered it to card front with ds tape and some glue stick.

I cut a label with one of the labels from the Chalk Talk die set which included the small oval hole die.

I chose a gold ribbon to go across the bottom so I had to use the SU Slot punch to make a hole in the fold to allow the ribbon to go through.  Once pulled across I taped the ends to the inside of the card.

I cut a star from the gold decorative paper and adhered it to the label.  The insert had to be adjusted a bit to allow for the slot in the fold.  I used the slot punch again.  A half sheet insert and a white envelope.

For this card I chose a red A2 card base and again ripped a piece of the gold decorative paper to fit the card front.  I use double sided tape and glue stick to ensure adhesion.

I wrapped a piece of gold grosgrain ribbon across the front and taped the ends to the inside.

I cut a heart with one of Sizzix Hearts thinlit die set.  I embossed it with the D'vine Swirl folder.  I mounted it over the paper and ribbon with 3D foam tape.

A half sheet insert and white envelope and an another card in the box.

This card has a SU Crushed Curry textured card stock base in the A2 size.

I ripped a piece of the decorative paper for the card front and used DS tape and glue stick to stick it to the front.

I added a length of So Saffron rick rack along the left side and taped the ends to the inside.

I chose a SU Really Rust and So Saffron quarter sheet pieces of card stock and ran them through the Big Shot with the Tim Holtz Tattered Flowers die.   Then I choose the alternating sized flowers and layered them.  I did embossed the 3rd one with the Swiss Dots folder. I added a gold round sequin on to the gold mini brad which holds all the layers to the card front.   I added a half sheet insert and white envelope.

I chose a SU So Saffron A2 card base for this card.

I ripped a piece of the gold decorative paper and adhered to the card front.

I ran a length of So Saffron rick rack along the top edge of the card and taped the ends to the inside.

I cut a star from SU Daffodil Delight card stock with the SU Star thinlit dies and glued a gold star sequin onto it with a Bling Zot.  Then this accent was adhered tot he card front with 3D foam tape.

A half sheet insert and white envelope and I had a set of 4 cards.

Birthday Tag

I made a tag for a joint gift for my niece who has a birthday in April.

I started with the QuicKutz Sewing Machine 4x4 thinlit.  The die cuts all the pieces which needed to be assembled.  It meant cutting once for each of the 4 colors - the body of the machine from olive green, feed dog plate, pressure foot and buttons in black, the other adjustment buttons in taupe, the spool of thread in black and red.

I placed a piece of packing tape on a hard surface and slowly placed the pieces in place sticking them to the tape.  Once all the pieces were in place I used an exacto knife to trim the excess tape from around the outside edges of the die cut.

I then cut the tag with the Tim Holtz Cabinet die one kraft embossed with the SwissDots folder and one ivory.  I used the Crop a dile to make a hole in the top.  I adhered the sewing machine die cut to the tag with 3D foam tape.

I ran a length of red twine through the hole and it's ready to be attached.

The HB diecut was received in a swap so I have no credits.

It is very cute but a lot of work which explains this is the first time I have used it.

Ready 2 Go All Occasion Stack Kit - Set 01

Split Square

I cut a 4 inch square of designer paper into 2 equal triangles by cutting top left hand corner to opposite corner with a paper cutter.   These were glued to the card front aligned to the top and the bottom.   That leaves a nice band of card color on the diagonal.

I wrapped a length of white grosgrain ribbon around the card front and knotted on the front.  Trimmed the ends on the slant.

I assembled the flower accent by putting the small flower then the large flower onto the brad.  Press the prongs apart on the back.

I added the 3D foam tape to the back of the flower accent and adhered it to the card front.

A quarter sheet insert is glued to the right hand side.

Nature Sticker

I layered the nature sticker onto coordinating card stock and trimmed leaving a narrow border.  I added 3D foam tape to the 4 corners on back.

I adhered an embossed layer leaving a small border to the card front.

Adhered the strip of black card stock onto the embossed layer.

I adhered the nature sticker to the card front.

I tucked the circle greeting just under the corner of the sticker.

Hexagon Trio

I chose an ivory card.

I wrapped the ivory ribbon across the designer paper and tape ends to the back.  Adhered to the card front.

I adhered the 3 hexagons to the bottom half of the card below the grosgrain ribbon.

I assembled the greeting by adhering the greeting to the colored circle then to the scallop circle.  The whole greeting was then adhered over the grosgrain ribbon with 3D foam tape.

I am glad to have a couple of customers who want card kits during this isolation time.

Exchange Cards - May

I started with the focal element which is a sticker.  I found these in a book I was clearing out the other day.  Who knows how long they were there!

I adhered it to a piece of bright green card and trimmed to leave a wide border.  I chalked the edges with black.

I chose a bright turquoise card and added an embossed light blue layer.  It was embossed with a Cuttlebug folder and adhered to the card front leaving a small border.

I added the black accent strip aligned to the left of center.  The sticker accent is mounted with 3D foam tape.  I added a Modern Label punchie greeting with offset green card stock.  It was also adhered with 3D foam tape.

I will mailing these today.

This card is similar in as the first one.  I laid it out in landscape format.   The sticker got a light blue layer behind.

I chose a bright green card this time and added a Swiss Dots embossed light blue layer.

Once the black strips were adhered I used 3D foam tape for the sticker accent.

I added a round greeting layered onto the same green card stock as the card. I just tucked it under the corner of the accent.

Cards to Gallery

I started with this silver glitter dragonfly die cut that arrived in a card from one of my card exchange buddies.

I chose brush paper in a deep blue for the background.  It has been spattered with pearl white acrylic ink.

I chose a Pacific Point card and adhered the decorative paper leaving a small border.  I attached the dragonfly with a tiny silver brad.

I then added 5 silver flower sequins at the bottom of the card again held in place with tiny silver brads.

A great card for any occasion.

This features a bird hole in the aqua teal decorative paper.  The base was painted then I spattered it with teal acrylic ink.

I cut a hole in the paper with the Stampin Up Bird Mover & Shaper die.  I placed a piece of white card stock behind which was embossed with the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder.

I have offered birthday greetings in French and English.  The greeting printed in grey and were cut with the Stampin Up Modern Label punch.  They have 3D foam tape on the back to adhered to the card front should the user want a greeting.

This card features paste paper in a warm blue color.  I cut to it leave a small border.

I added a pearl white large star die cut made with the Sizzix Star die and placed it in the top two thirds of the card.

I added some fiber which repeated that color tone and wrapped it around the decorative paper layer.  I then adhered the star layer to the front of a medium blue card base.

I have provided Thanks greetings in both French and English.   These have adhesive on the back which allows the user to place the greeting of their choice below the fiber.

They were again cut with the Stampin Up Modern Label punch.

Card Club Kit - Set 3 - Card 3

We may need a baby card sometime during the year.  I create a gender neutral card by using green.

I started with a stack of handmade paper flowers in a mint green color. I chose a card in same color to keep the color scheme monochromatic. I cut leaves with the Sizzix Leaf Stem medium die from card stock with is slightly greyer in tone to provide a bit of contrast.

I embossed a white piece of card stock with the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder.  I adhered it to the card front which leaves a small border.

I placed the largest flower on the left hand side of a wide card and used a push pin the create the hole in the card front for the brad.  I stacked the white sequin, white flower, then 4 handmade paper flowers from smallest to biggest onto the mint green tiny brad then put the prongs through the hole. Inside the card I pressed the prongs apart.

I added length of white grosgrain ribbon on the right hand side.  I cut a slit in the card fold and pushed one end of the ribbon through and taped it down the inside. I pulled it down the card front and wrapped the other end to the inside of the card and taped that one down.

The greeting was color printed in the same color as the leaves on white card stock and was punched out with the Stampin Up Curly Label punch.  I applied some 3D foam tape pieces to the back and adhered it over the white ribbon to the right of the flower.
