I made this card for a couple who are now taking their 2nd retirement after working at Camp for the last few years.
I chose DSP from G.C.D. Studios named Bora Bora from the Debonair collection. It's a green brown color so I chose a kraft colored card. I cut the paper to just enough to leave a border and then cut it where the pattern was being the least affected. I turned the small piece over and tape them together on the back. I added a kraft ribbon and tape the ends to the back. I adhered to the card front then added an ivory felt flower cut with the Blossom Party Stampin' Up! Originals Die. I cut a coordinating flower from the same set in gold and mounted that to the centre. It is all held in place with a gold brad.

Card - Retirement - Hunting and Fishing
I made this card for a friend who retired recently. He is an outdoorsman so I expect these pursuits will be part of this new chapter.
I started with a picture of the lake in the morning I took last summer at Pine Lake Camp. I adjusted the color to be sepia and added the sentiment in a color to match the accent. The accent is a picture I found on line of an old tin sign which I printed in the size I needed. It expressed the sentiment I wanted. Once the card was printed I added a grosgrain ribbon with just a bit of the same blue as in the tin just below the greeting. I mounted the accent on the right hand side of the greeting with 3D foam tape.

Photo - Summer Camp
I spent a few days at Summer Camp this week. I took a few pictures to remind me of how beautiful and restorative time by the lake can be. The weather was great! I took the camera out each day. The chair on the dock, I spent an hour there just enjoying the sounds. I did capture a dusty spider web, it was nearly a full moon and this is the best one of the bunch but it's not great, lichen on a piece of wood, and finally the mist on the water early in the morning. It was a great couple of days!
