Sewing - Free Motion Backgrounds

I wanted to make more free motion stitching backgrounds for slow stitching cards before I moved onto bottle bags again.

Dipped into the scraps bin and created a pink and blue one.

I created a bottom layer of cotton fabric, layered on a piece of 100% cotton batting, then applied scraps of fabric collage style until I was happy with it.

Brought it to the machine with the darning foot and matching thread and stitched them up.  I think I did a better job of my swirls this time.

I think I will find some silicone tipped gloves.
