Card - Teal - Thinking of You

I started with a deep teal card.  I placed a white layer leaving a small border.  I cut the Designer Paper with my circle cutter giving me a nice curve on the card front.  I color printed the greeting then cut it out with one of the  Framelits from the Apothecary set.  Those Framelits really let you see exactly where you are cutting!!! I had offset the greeting allowing me to place a flower accent on the left.  I used a silk flower and a teal handmade paper flower held in place with a tiny white brad.  Another card for my stash.

Card - Teal - Congratulations

I made this card for friends who have moved into a new home!  I chose to follow the sketch for Come and Get It Challenges.
I chose a dark teal card which I laid landscape.  I cut a piece of designer paper in a crackle design in a teal color.  I cut the paper 5.25" wide then used my CM circle cutter to cut the curve.  I added a piece of polka dot paper to cover the other part of the card front.  I placed several small teal/turquoise Prima paper flowers along the curve.  Started with the dark one in the center then evenly spaced the others along the edge.  All held in place with tiny blue brads.  I color printed the greeting and cut it out with on of the SU Apothecary Framelits.  I am loving these framelits!  I had offset the greeting to allow space for another small flower.

Cmas Card Challenge - Jan - Vintage Christmas

My first Christmas card of the 2011 challenge! The theme is Vintage so I found a nice St. Nick, printed it and then cut it round with my CM circle cutter. I cut the turquoise ornament with my Cricut with the Joy of the Season cartridge. I cut the silver layers (holder & ball at the bottom), glued them on along with the circle element. I smudged the edges with a Old Olive Green ink pad. I selected a coordinating layer of parchment cardstock for the background. I used the Victorian Cuttlebug embossing folder which fit with the theme very well to add texture to this layer. All this was mounted on a pea green card. I added a satin ribbon and turquoise snowflakes mounted with ivory brads.

I made 6 of these.

Card Club - Oct - Embossed Foil

I bet you would not guess that the accent on this card is recycled foil. I had the girls at work saving the foil from applesauce and yogurt containers for my class. They were wondering what I was up to. I cut the foil with my Sizzix circle die and the cardstsock circle with my Creative Memories circle cutter. They were glued together. Then the circles were embossed in a small Cuttlebug embossing folder. Works very well and looks great. The greeting was stamped below the accent. The strip was embossed with the Swiss Dots folder.
