Four Squares on Tangerine Tango

I started with a Stampin Up Always Artichoke card base. I placed some leaves from the Blossoms Abound digital set in Always Artichoke to create a subtle layer on the card above and below the accent square. I used this decorative card stock which is non SU but matches perfectly.
I created a central accent with 4 squares. I punched the 1.25" squares from the decorative c/s aligning the tangerine element in the center.  I punched the 1.5" squares from the coordinating solid card stock which matches Pool Party.  I adhered these squares onto a piece of SU Tangerine Tango and trimmed it leaving an even border.
I stamped the greeting from the Sweet Essentials stamp set in Always Artichoke onto a strip of Tango Tangerine. I flagged both ends with the SU Banner Triple Punch. It was adhered to the card front with 3D foam tape.

Wood Board Birthday

I started with a sheet from the Stampin Up Adventure Bound DSP stack 4.5x6.5 inches.  I chose this wood board one from the great selection.  I then picked a piece of Pumpkin Pie card stock.  Based on the challenge sketch I cut the DSP into several strips of various sizes.  I wrapped a piece of Pumpkin Pie Tafetta Ribbon around the largest piece leaving room for the greeting. I then knotted a shorter piece onto it to make a bow.  I then adhered the five pieces of DSP onto the card front keeping the design of the paper intact but leaving space between each one.  I chose a color printed greeting in Early Espresso cut with a framelit from the Apothecary set.  I added coordinating snap eyelets on both ends.  I adhered some Early Espresso accents to the back of the greeting then adhered it above the ribbon with 3D foam tape.

Blue Bird HB

I started with a Stampin Up Marina Mist card.  I stamped the You're Amazing - Happy Birthday stamp in the same color on a piece of white.  I then stamped the bird from the Punch Potpourri in MM and punched it out with the coordinating punch.  I punched a wing from the same blue. I punched the branch from Certainly Celery card stock.  I glued the branch above the greeting then adhered the bird sitting on the branch with 3D foam tape.  The white layer was then adhered to the card front.

Bird on Crumb Cake

I started with a Stampin Up Marina Mist card.  I added texture to it with one of the Itty Bitty Background stamps in MM ink.  I created the background bands with narrow strips of Season of Style DSP left over from this project.  I adhered them so they would fall behind the central element.  I repeated Crumb Cake in the central rectangle which I layered onto a piece of Whisper White.  I stamped the bird from the Punch Potpourri in MM on white and punched him out.  I punched the wing and the branch from MM card stock.  I glued the branch, then the bird then the wing in the bottom left hand corner.  I was tempted to add more MM on the Crumb Cake but resisted.

Can you tell I've been shopping at SU Retired Sales?  I have been looking for this stamp set for a while and found it on the weekend. Yippee!

Card - Simply Sketched Sympathy

I made this card for a friend who lost his dad recently.
I started with a Crushed Curry card.  The stamps I used are from the Simply Sketched stamp set.  I chose the bird to make the card more masculine and stamped it in Crushed Curry and the sentiment in Baja Breeze as I don't have a Pool Party pad. I watercolored some background on upper and lower portions of the Whisper White card stock with an Aqua Painter and the same colors.  I put the bottom edge of the Pool Party layer through the Big Shot with the edge of the Scallop Square Bigz Clear die.  I dyed a bit of white cotton thread with some Crushed Curry ink to add a bit of repetition and fill in the space below the white layer.

I skipped the Calypso Coral because it was a card for a guy.
