Sewing Project - Food Storage Coths

I made another batch of food storage cloths as I found the very cute flannel at the ReUse Center this week.

With pizza on them there will be no mistaking them.

I use these in my veggie and fruit tupperwares in the fridge as well so now I have plenty for all my food storage needs.

They are 6x7 inches and I just cut it into 8 pieces and serged the edges.

Job done!

HB Card Flip Card Quick

I made a quick card for a girl who turned 12 on Tuesday. We were celebrating with supper.  I know purple is a favorite color.

I chose hot pink for the card.  I added designer paper in purple stripes with pink swirls.  I cut a scallop circle in the same designer paper then printed a purple greeting which I punched out with the Stampin Up Scallop Circle punch.  I added some white seam binding on the right hand side.  I did not have pink to match.

How To: Quick Ink Pad Backgrounds

I learned this technique this week from a class I attended so it`s not my original idea. Gail had followed a sample she had seen. I tried to find details on line and could not so I decided to document the process.

I really like the shape of the Stampin Up! pads but any pad will do.  The background make will coordinate with whatever else you do on the card.  You could stamp your greeting in the same color and it`s a perfect match.  It`s really quick!  So next time you are working on a quick card this background technique may help you out.

Notecards - Madison Avenue

Another set of note cards for someone who has lost a husband recently.  It's a time when thank you cards come in handy.
These are again the small note cards onto which I printed some digital images from the Stampin Up Madison Avenue set.  I added colorful centers in yellow, turquoise and pink.  Quick and easy.

Digital Card - Ice Cream Parlor DP

I received my Sale-A-Brate MSD CD yesterday! Here's the card I quickly created. It's ready to print!

I don't own My Digital Studio so I colored the greeting with Adobe Photoshop Elements. There are several free photo editors available. Photo Pos Pro is one I have used.

I'm very happy with the digital files. I understand that the RGB values for SU! colors is available on-line. Here's where I got mine and do recognize the huge amount of work that went into preparing it. Thanks Marie.

I look forward to creating more of these cards.

Card Club - January - Graphic Flower

This is a nice bold simple card. I punched 1.5" squares from 5 different Citrus colors then used the corner rounder punch on 2 opposite corners. I printed on a white card the flower stem and greeting. Then I trimmed it and mounted it on a black card to coordinate with the greeting. When gluing down the rounded squares be sure to put the pointy corners in the centre. That helps to make it look like a flower. We had a couple of the girls cut out the leaf just inside the line and place the green square under it and put the orange square into the flower. It was good to see the creative juices flowing!
