I made this card for a friend whose aunt celebrates her birthday on St. Patrick's Day.
I chose a warm green card base. I added a few stripes of vellum which were adhere to the inside of the card then flipped forward to cover the front. I added some double sided tape down the card which will be covered by the greeting.
The greeting was printed on bright warm green card stock and then I ripped the bottom and top edges. It was adhered aligned to the bottom of the card front.
I punched 3 hearts from plaid green glitter paper with the Stampin Up Sweetheart punch. I cut a stem by hand with scissors. I added 3 small hearts over the glitter ones adhered with 3D foam tape. The shamrock was assembled and glued in place with double sided tape.
The white narrow ribbon was added just above the greeting. I used a 1/8" circle punch to create a small hole in the fold on the left hand side. I ran a length of the ribbon twice through and tied a knot on the right hand side of the card.
I added an Irish Blessing on the inside.

Christmas Card Challenge - February - Red Heart
This card is for my monthly Christmas Card Challenge which is Red Heart for February.
I chose a red card and added a layer of designer paper - Bazzill Basics Paper - Holiday Style - Stitched Green.
I tied a plaid ribbon on the right hand side and trimmed the ends.
I used the Stampin Up Sweetheart Punch with red metallic paper to create the heart accents which were adhered with 3D foam tape.
I printed the greeting and trimmed it to end under the ribbon on the right. I used red and green to repeat the colors from the card in the greeting.

Card Club Kit - Set 1 - Card 4
We always need cards for the guys in our lives. I chose a double sided designer paper from My Mind's Eye - On the Bright Side - Grey Wood. It features wood planks on one side and polka dots on the other.
This is another designer paper split. The 12x12 is cut into 6 pieces measuring 5.25T x 4.00W. These pieces are cut again at 3.5 inches. I flipped the smaller piece, butted the pieces together and taped the pieces together on the back. This gives me a full card layer I can work with.
I added a striped silver and black metallic ribbon over the join and taped the ends to the back. The designer paper layer was adhered to the black card front.
I adhered the greeting to the card front with 3D foam tape.

Card Club - November - Snowflake
The snowflake die cut was the starting point. I managed to find some swirly designer paper which suggested a snow storm quite well. That was cut to leave a small border of the true blue card showing.
The card base was cut 4.25 x 11 inches with the fold placed at the top. This allows the white grosgrain ribbon to be easily wrapped around the card front and knotted to the front. The ends were trimmed.
The snowflake is adhered to the card front with 3D foam tape.
The greeting is color printed and punched with the Stampin Up Modern Label punch and is adhered to the card front with 3D foam tape.

Card Club - Sept - 4 inch Square
This is based on a design I used this summer.
I cut a 4 inch square of designer paper. I ripped it in approximately half. Then I ripped the edge with the white showing again to remove the white and leave a bit of space in between. I then adhered these offset from each in the top left and bottom right hand corners of the turquoise card.
The greeting is color printed on white cardstock and then punched with the 2" oval punch. I cut the oval scalloped layer with one of the Spellbinder Nestabilities. These are adhered together then this layer is adhered to the card front overlapping the layers of designer paper.

I am offering greetings for several occasions in this design as well as several colors.

Card Club - January - Airplane
I wanted a male birthday card so this is what I designed.
The paper is Grandpa's Plaid from the Grandpa's Tool Shed collection made by Echo Park Paper Co. It was cut to leave a small border on the olive card.
The red seam binding was placed across the designer paper the the ends taped to the back.
The airplane graphics is from Pixabay. I changed the colors to coordinate with the designer paper. I added the greeting low enough that if the card maker wants to cut it off they can. I printed it onto ivory card stock. It is mounted to the card front with 3D foam tape over the red seam binding. I tied the short piece of binding on the right hand side of the focal element.

Card Club - March - HB Initials
It's time for Card Club again.
This card features a set of large initials. The ivory panel already had the turquoise and grey vine pattern on the left. I repeated these colors with grey in the initials and turquoise in the greeting and printed it onto the right hand side. I adhered the panel to the front of a turquoise card. Then, I have added three handmade paper flowers with each having a turquoise sequin in the center held in place with a blue tiny brad. I placed them somewhat randomly.

Nativity - Aphothecary Framelit
I made a few Christmas cards this weekend. I started with a photo of my office Nativity. I cut it with a framelit from the Stampin Up Apothecary set. I chose a deep mauve color for the card which matched well. With the colors in the image I could have gone with green, navy or ivory as well. I then laid out my greeting to match the curve of the die cut and color printed it on the card stock. Then adhered the nativity die cut and it was done!!

Butterfly Wishes
I made these cards for my exchange group.
I bought this die a while ago and today I used it. I printed the greeting in the top left corner then cut the butterflies into the white card stock panel. I mounted a piece of designer paper behind it which was trimmed just a smidge smaller than the die cut. I mounted it onto a black card which coordinates with the greeting. This die allows a variety of color variations quickly and easily.
For this card I added a Stampin Up Modern Label punchie with a Word Window greeting. Another option to adding a greeting to this card layout.
I was struggling with the layout in portrait but as soon as I turned it to landscape it worked better for me.

R2G Card Kit - Snowflake is Butterfly
I started with a black card. I added a piece of sparkly background paper which leaves a small border. I cut the large white snowflake with the Cricut and the Winter Lace cartridge. It was cut at 3.75 inches. It was placed in the top third of the card and tacked to the card front with a bit of snail adhesive. The silver foil snowflake is a Martha Stewart punch and the smaller black one is also. There is a tiny irridescent sequin in the centre. All the snowflakes are held in place with a tiny black brad. I added a .75 inch strip of black card stock onto which I wrapped a length of white grosgrain ribbon and taped the ends to the back. This layer was adhered to the card front below the snowflake across the bottom. The greeting was color printed and punched with the SU Artisan Label punch. It is adhered over the ribbon with 3D foam tape.

Card Club - March - Nine Square Block
This card provides an Easter card for those in the group who are wanting one.
This card has a nine square block layered a couple of times. I punched 1" squares from double sided designer paper to ensure the colors coordinated. I selected a dark teal square cut to 3.25" for the first layer onto which these squares are mounted. I then adhered this to a 3.5 inch square of white. It was then adhered to the orange card in a landscape/wide orientation. The greeting color coordinated with the card color and layered onto a teal strip same color as the square. I trimmed the ends at an angle. The greeting was mounted to the card front as shown with 3D foam tape. These kits are all customized to the DSP used which is quite time consuming but it is a scrap buster design.

Card Club - March - Birthday Wish

I created the white greeting layer and then color printed. I trimmed it to 3.75 x 5.00 inches. I had placed my Stampin Up Little Letters thinlits as I wanted them on my magnetic platform. I placed registration marks as to where the corners needed to be aligned. I put wax paper between my card stock and the dies so they would fall out easily. With this prepared cutting went really well. I then placed a small piece of copper metallic paper behind the cut out word. This layer was then adhered to the card front. I then placed 3 copper sequins to the card with mini Zots. I provided some kits with silver foil paper and silver sequins for behind the word.

Card Club - March - Umbrella
I had requests for baby shower, bridal shower, and for others something else. I decided on an umbrella. This could serve for baby shower, bridal shower, under the weather, or Thinking of you. That made for a versatile design. The umbrella was cut with the Cricut with Tie the Knot cartridge at 3.5". I cut one grey and one colored as this green polka dots paper. This was a great scrap buster technique! The greeting layer was designed then printed on white card stock. I matched the card color to the color of the umbrella canopy.

I have made kits in pinks, blues, lavender for the shower cards and bright colors for the get well and thinking of you card kits. The bridal shower cards were a hit!

Card - Shower Baby or Bridal
These were made from pieces cut trying out options for my umbrella card club at the end of the month.
The umbrella was cut with the Cricut and the Tie the Knot cartridge. I cut the solid piece from metallic card stock then cut the open cut work one from grey card stock. I added a pearl white thread bow on the handle just below the canopy. The greeting layer was color printed in grey with a fine border. The layer was trimmed close to the border. I added a layer of the same metallic paper to the 4.00 x 5.25" size then layered these onto a top fold grey card.
I'm thinking either would for baby or bridal. What do you think? Leave me a comment.

Card - St. Patrick's Day HB
Here's the second card for the March 17th birthday. I started with strips of green card stock which I played with until I found some that worked together. I chose some wider and some narrower. I found a card that worked with the colors of green in the strips then I designed and color printed printed the greeting adding the small shamrock to the right. I cut the flag ends with my square punch. I laid them out and tape them together on the back and then trimmed the top ends. The banners were then adhered to the greeting layer leaving room for the ribbon. I added dark green seam binding over the top of the banners then tied another piece in a knot. This was then adhered to the green card front.

R2G Card Kit - Baby Bird HB or Welcome
This is a card kit I adapted from the extras from this Card Club. Likely no one needs 4 baby cards so I decided to add a birthday greeting which then could be used for others. In this case 4 birthday and 4 Welcome baby greetings are included to provide the most flexibility to the card maker.
Card - 2 shades of blue card and 2 shades of yellow are included in the kit
Bird - I designed and drew the bird & branch. This allows me to color it to suit any given situation.
Banner - matches the card color. The banner can be cut with a flag end as shown for just at an angel based on preference.
Greeting - I designed the greeting and printed them in colors to match the card. I used a large 2" oval punch to create the greetings. The greeting is 3D foam taped over the banner. This gives dimension and keeps the dark banner from showing through the greeting.

R2G Card Kit - Valentine - Paper Heart Doily
This is the first card design of a large order of Ready 2 Go Valentine card kits I have just finished preparing. It was an order for 100 card kits. Valentine is not my usual thing so creating these card designs was a bit of a stretch for me.
You will remember these doily hearts from this posting. I created a polka dot background in black that I printed directly onto the card. This card is 4.25 x 11 and therefore has the fold at the top of the card. I wanted to add a bit of black to the heart to help tie it all together. I used a Stampin Up Itty Bitty Background stamp with Versafine Onyx Black. I placed my adhesive on the solid centre of the heart and placed it at the top of card. I dyed the thread at the same time as the hearts so they match perfectly. I added a black thread as well which I wrapped around the card front and knotted on the front. I added a metal heart charm before I tied the second knot. I trimmed the thread ends and added my insert.

Happy Phrase - Birthday
I made this card for my Dad's birthday. I started with a panel of card leftover from these cards. I thought with his birthday this close to Christmas red and green would be appropriate. I cut the plaid card stock with the Sizzix Happy Phrase die. I cut the dark green at the same time. I made use I collected the holes for the A PP so I could glue them in place. I layered the plaid layer onto white then glued the green word into the hole then added the plaid pieces I collected earlier. I glued the white layer to to a red card. I printed the birthday on white and flagged each end. I mounted it to the card front with 3D foam tape.

Christmas Card Challenge - Nov - Christmas Light
The challenge for this month is Christmas Light. It can be a lot of things: stars, lanterns, tree lights, fireplace, moon, lamp post, candles, or a house lit up. What comes to mind for you? Leave me a comment.
This is not the card I started to make but I really like it. I cut the vellum with one of the Spellbinders Nestabilities Arched Windows One dies. I then stamped the nativity and the dot stars on the vellum die cut. The nativity rubber stamp came from the $1.50 section and the dot stars on the vellum were done with a Stampin Up Itty Bitty Backgrounds stamp. I then embossed them with Jeweled Gold embossing powder. Wanting to keep with the same colors and with no star stamp in my collection I rubbed clear embossing ink onto a scrap piece of vellum then embossed it with the same powder then punched it out. Voila! It matches. I wanted to make it look a bit like a snow globe so I cut some black metallic card stock for the base and adhered it to the vellum. I was going to put it directly on the black but there was not enough contrast so I added a white layer. I created that layer with a rectangle frame with the first few words of the song "O Holy Night" printed in black. I trimmed this layer and adhered it to the black card.

SU Sale a Bration - Book Party
I had a book party for the Stampin Up Sale a Bration promotion going on right now.
I made this card for a make and take for the girls in the office. I used the Petals and Paisley DSP. For this card I used an Old Olive card. I cut a SU Top Note in the DSP which is So Saffron and Whisper White floral. I cut an smooth oval in So Saffron in the one step larger then the color printed central element with the smaller smooth oval with my Spellbinder Nestabilities but SU sells the OVALS COLLECTION FRAMELITS DIES. The flower is a SU digital stamp from the PUNCH BUNCH STAMP BRUSH SET. I printed the flowers in So Saffron and Old Olive for the stems. The top note is adhered to the card front then the 2 ovals are adhered together layered one on top of the other. This element is then adhered to the card front with 3D foam tape. The back of the card was stamped with the SU credit stamp.
This DSP has Tempting Turquoise card with Regal Rose flowers and layer so I will post another sample after the party. Done!! Thank you cards next! Think about having a party!!!
