Exchange Cards - May

These are my cards for May.  Turquoise, white and silver is the color scheme.

The white card base has a designer paper layer with a plaid pattern.

I created the focal point with SB Circle Nestablities in 3 sizes.  The large white was embossed with the Cuttlebug Script folder, then the middle circle is turquoise solid card stock then a silver foil layer embossed with the  Cuttlebug Diamond in the Rough folder. I added a white daisy confetti with a blue tiny brad.

The greeting is color printed and punched with the Stampin Up Modern Label.  It was adhered to the card front with 3D foam tape.

I flipped the designer paper over and used the polka dot side for this card and changed the orientation to landscape.

I cut the squares layers with the Sizzix Square Thinlits in the same colors as the first one. I added a little note brad in the center.

R2Go Christmas Stack Kit - Dove & Joyful Watercolor

This card has portrait / tall orientation.

The Joyful layer was cut from a piece of printed card stock.  I used the Stampin Up Window Frame thin lits to cut the gold foil word with it's watercolor background in red and greens.  I then cut a layer of warm green card stock with one of the Sizzix Square thinlits which allows a nice border around the square on the watercolor diecut.  These are adhered together.

I chose a warm red card base onto which I adhered a length of gold metallic ribbon across the front and taped the ends to the inside of the card.  This repeats the gold in the accent.

The Joyful watercolor accent is adhered over the ribbon to the card front with 4 squares 3D foam tape.  I aligned it a bit to the left of center.

This is the same sketch but placed in the landscape or wide orientation.

I chose a white card base onto which I adhered a length of white satin ribbon with turquoise writing "Peace" printed at regular intervals. I taped the ends to the inside of the card.

The gold moire square was adhered behind the turquoise and gold dove Window Frame diecut.  This accent was adhered to the card front over the ribbon with 4 pieces of 3D foam tape.  I aligned it to allow me to see 2 full words.

R2Go Christmas Stack kit - Pinecones & Reindeer

I cut the pine cone element with a Sizzix Squares Thinlits at about  3 inches square.  I then cut with the paper cutter a white layer at 3.25 inches. These are adhered together.

I cut black and white snowflake designer card stock into pieces 4.25 inches by 2.5 inches. The paper is by Teresa Collins - Christmas Home - Cmas Damask. This is the reverse side. I adhered the piece on the left side aligned to the edge of a black card.

I then cut a length of 6.5 inch red crimped ribbon and placed in the center of the wide card and taped the ends to the inside.

I added 3D foam tape to the four corners of the pinecone accent and adhered it to the right side leaving even border on the top, right and bottom edges.

This is the same sketch but in the portrait orientation.

The Reindeer element was cut to 3 inches and an ivory layer was cut to 3.25 inches. These are adhered together. I chose ivory to coordinate with the striped ribbon.

The striped light and dark green designer paper is by Graphics 45 from the Twas the Night Before Christmas collection. It was cut to 2.5 inches tall and 4.25 inches wide and adhered to the bottom of the green card.

The striped ribbon was cut to 6.5 inches, placed in the center of the card and the ends were taped to the inside of the card.

The reindeer element was adhered with 3D foam tape placed in the 4 corners.  It was aligned to leave an even border on left top and right hand sides.

Simple Sentiments - Thank You

I decided to add a few Simple Sentiments cards to the donation of Thank You cards.

These are created with some of my photos from photo calendars from other years.

This is a mosaic of a woman's face surrounded by green foliage.  The 4x6 photo was cut with the Sizzix Square Thinlits to 3 7/8 square.

The sentiment was printed onto the card base and the photo was adhered above it.

Quick and simple card making and great for a quick thank you.

I am adding these to the box of cards.

Enjoy a Cup of Tea

I started by watercoloring a warm brown muted background on white card stock.  I cut it with the Sizzix Squares Thinlits.  I rubbed the edges with a Versamark ink pad and dipped it in gold embossing powder and heated it which gave me a nice rough frame.

I then cut the frame with the Lil Inkers Instant Camera thin die.  I added some water color wash to it which was similar to the background.  I stamped the sentiment with a small clear stamp and gold embossed it as well.

I cut the tea cup with the Cricut and the Joy of the Season cartridge.  I cut it at 1.5 inches from Authentique 12x12 paper - Hope Collection - "Adorn" using the polka dot side.  I then rubbed it with the Versamark ink pad as well to allow me to repeat the gold embossing one more time.

I chose a warm brown card and I embossed the front with the Stampin Up Polka Dot Textured Impression folder. This allowed me to repeat the dots.  I adhered the watercolor background at an angle, added the frame evenly spaced on card then applied the tea cup with 3D foam tape in the center.

Decorative & Photo Cards

I created this card with a color print of a watercolor I painted years ago.  I added a periwinkle layer then adhered it to a navy card.
I added a french birthday greeting color printed on white card stock and punched with the Stampin Up Modern Label.  I added an offset label in the navy card color. This greeting was mounted with 3D foam tape.

This card features a piece of my bubble paper in a lavender color.  I printed the french greeting onto the decorative paper then trimmed it to leave a small border.
I cut the candle with a QuicKutz die from silver card stock. Unfortunately, the scan does not do it justice. It shines in real life.
I took the stars cut from the candle and adhered them around the card front.
I mounted the bubble paper layer to the front of a lavender card.

This card features one of my 4x4 photos from my Beauty photo calendar. This is a great blue flower taken on a morning walk when the dew was still on the flower.

It was cut to 3.75 x 3.75 inches with Sizzix Square Thinlits.
I printed the french birthday greeting layer onto white card stock.  The sentiment was done in Smoky Slate and the graphic in a coordinating Brilliant Blue. The graphic is from The Graphics Fairy. It was adhered to the card front of a true blue card.
I then adhered the photo in the frame printed on the greeting layer.

Another 4x4 photo from one of my photo calendars.  This one is a green fern.  No sentiment on this one so it can be used for any occasion.  The graphic is the same as the previous card printed in a coordinating color Garden Green.   I glued it to a dark green card.

Another 4x4 photo from one of my photo calendars.
This one is a purple daisy.  No sentiment on this one so it can be used for any occasion.  The graphic is the same as the previous card printed in a coordinating color Handsome Hunter.   I glued it to a very dark green card.

I started with my daisy drawing which I printed onto an orange quarter sheet.
I punched a large daisy from decorative paper made with Rich Razzleberry, Melon Mambo and Crushed Curry.  I added an orange center to the flower.
It was then layered onto a bright pink card.

These cards were delivered to the Art Gallery gift shop today.  I brought back 6 with English greetings.

Simple Sentiments

These are a new level of card I am producing.  It is a note card with a layer adhered to the front.  For this set it is one of my 4x4 inch photos I used for my photo calendars.  This is one way to reuse the photo once the calendar page has expired.

The 4x6 calendar page was cut with one of the dies from the Sizzix Squares Thinlits which cuts at 3.75 inches square which is perfect. The sentiment is color printed on white card stock in Smoky Slate.

The set is 6 cards with envelopes with sentiments one might need without much notice.  Get Well Soon, Sympathy, a simple thanks, Thinking of You or plain card with no sentiment.

They are simply packaged in a cellophane portfolio so 4 of the 6 cards a visible.   An insert is enclosed with product information.
