HB - Pink and Blue

I made this card for a friend who celebrated a birthday recently and I'm seeing her today.

I started with the Stampin Up Winter Bright DSP, which I chose the strips.  I then cut a layer of Bashful Blue textured and adhered it to the card front.  I then adhered the 3.25" square piece of DSP to the top half of the layer.  I cut a flower from Pretty in Pink with the Blossom Party die.  I cut a butterfly from Bashful Blue and layered it onto the flower.  I stamped the sentiment from the Perfect Punches stamp set in Garden Green on Whisper White.  I cut it out by hand because my extra large oval punch has stopped punching.  I mounted it to the card front with 3D foam tape.

HB - Windows Frame & Prima Flowers

I made this card for a friend celebrating a birthday today.

I started with a Stampin Up! So Saffron card base.  I cut a piece of striped Really Rust DSP with the Window Frames Collection Framelits.  I then cut a 3" square of copper metallic card stock which I placed behind the die cut aligning the corners.  I adhered these two the card front. I chose the Chocolate Chip marker and ink the birthday stamp in the Sincere Salutations set and stamped it in the bottom right hand corner.  I then used the fine end of the marker to add stitching around the copper square. I then, selected 2 Prima Flowers - a large light yellow and a smaller orange.  I then added a smaller rust and a smaller still handmade paper yellow one.  These were layered onto each other from smallest to largest.  They were placed in the center of the die cut and held in place with a dark brown brad.

Sympathy - Floral District

I made this card for a friend who lost her grandmother just after Christmas.  I used a Stampin Up Groovy Guava card.  I created the layer by cutting one of the DSP from Floral District with the Deco Label Framelit.  I then created the sentiment with the butterfly from the Bliss Stamp set in Baja Breeze and the sentiment in Tango Tangerine. This was cut with a circle framelit. It was glued to the Deco die cut. I wrapped a piece of Baja Breeze seam binding across the middle of the card and tied a knot to the right. The sentiment layer was then mounted to the card front with 3D foam tape.

Card - Good Job

This is a card I made for a co-worker who has been dealing with a few challenges in her work.  This is to let her know she's doing a great job!  I made the card 5.5x8.5inches so there was room for everyone to write an appreciative word.
I started with a Tempting Turquoise card with the 8.5x11 folding in half.  I found a sheet in the Pink Flamingo DSP with just Summer Sun and Tempting Turquoise.  I cut 9 squares at 1.5" and glued them to a square of white.  This was laid onto a piece of Summer Sun.  I trimmed the top of that piece with the scallop border from the SU Adorning Accents Edgelits.  I then added another layer in white cut with the same Edgelit.  I wrapped a piece of Turquoise 1/4" gross grain ribbon across the front and taped the end to the back. Added a short piece tied onto the long length. This layer was adhered to the card front. I added 3 white silk flowers above the scallops and punched small 5 petal punchies in Summer Sun and held those in place with tiny turquoise brads.

Card - Quilt Sympathy

I created this card based on supplies from card club. I needed a sympathy card for my friend Susan. I created my diamond shape quilt design with the 4 squares as before. I felt that I wanted a softer look so I layered 2 white silk flowers in the center held in place with a brad instead of a button. I had grey ink that coordinated with the designer paper so I stamp the greeting and embossed it with clear embossing powder. I smudged the edge of the card with the ink pad and embossed those areas as well. The designer paper is from Stampin Up!
