Card Gift Set - Bridal Shower

I made a set of cards for the bride to be as the shower is this week. They will make great thank you cards.

I chose a Stampin Up simply scrappin' kit named Love Sparkles which had the right theme for this set.  The colors in the set are Whisper White, So Saffron, Regal Rose and Chocolate Chip.  The kit had the card stock, the designer paper and the embellishments so making 16 cards took about 1.5 hours. Excellent!

I made 4 cards in each color.  I chose this Regal Rose Love Words designer paper and cut it to 5.5 x 3 inches.  I adhered it to the right side of the card leaving a small border of card stock color.  I added a strip embellishment which is adhesive and well as a Pretty in Pink heart die cut.

I followed a sketch from a card challenge at Fab Friday.

Fab Friday mostly features Stampin Up products offers regular card challenges.

This is the sketch FabFri129 for this week.

This kit features textured card stock, adhesive die cut embellishments, and various adhesive strips. With most of the kit used in these cards it means a bit more stuff out the door.

On the Chocolate Chip one I used the same Regal Rose Love Words designer paper and added a Pretty in Pink zigzag strip with a words heart.

On the Regal Rose one again the same Love Words DSP with a pretty polka dot border and circle heart die cut.

On the So Saffron cards I chose the striped designer paper with a narrow border in Chocolate Chip with a Regal Rose heart die cut.

Birthday Card Sister

I started with a Stampin Up Night of Navy card.
I sponged a background on photo paper with a sponge and Island Indigo ink.  I punched the bottom with the Chevron Punch.
I cut the greeting with the Memory Box Jumbled Happy Birthday thin die. Happy in Real Red and Birthday in Tempting Turquoise.
Adhered the background then the greeting words.  I used Quick Dry Adhesive for the die cut greetings.

This is a birthday card for my sister who celebrates this week and I hope the mail system will deliver it on time.

Missed the deadline for challenge at Fab Friday but I have put the challenge graphic to show the colors.

Wedding Anniversary - 40th

I made this card for my sister and brother-in-law who are celebrating 40 years of marriage at the end of the month.

I started with a Stampin Up Cherry Cobbler card.  I punched the 2 hearts from deep red glitter card stock.  I color printed the greeting onto a piece of Whisper White which was just under 3" wide.  I adhered the 2 hearts above the greeting with Zots. I ripped the bottom edge of the greeting layer. I layered it onto a piece of Basic Black and did the same to it's bottom edge. I placed 2 pieces of white twill ribbon on the diagonal to the upper right hand corner and adhered them to the card front.  The first one has a small fold in it.  I trimmed the ends with scissors. I then layered the heart layer onto the card front leaving a small border top and right hand side.

Card - Bright Colorful HB Wishes

I started with a black card.  I cut a piece of Stampin Up Quatrefancy Specialty DSP to just under 3" the layered it onto Pool Party leaving a small border.  I cut the bottom into a large banner. This layer was adhered to the left hand side of the card.  The greeting is from the So Happy for You stamp set done in black with a square thin border.  This was layered onto a piece of Daffodil Delight card stock leaving a small border. I found a large yellow button to which I tied black thread.   It is held in place with a large Zot.

Neutral Blocks - Sketch

I started with a Stampin Up Whisper White card.  I selected 3 designer papers to create the blocks to follow the sketch.  I cut the pieces 2 inches tall and about 1.5 inches wide. I layered them from left to right leaving the left hand side not attached, I just taped them together on the back.  This adds a bit of dimension.  The DSP are Ruby Red and Sahara Sand from the Patterns Pack Designers Series Paper III.  The one on the right are the same colors with white and is from the Holiday Lounge DSP collection. These 3 were mounted on a piece of Sahara Sand card stock which was then adhered to the card front. I stamped the greeting from the Simply Wonderful stamp set in Ruby Red ink.  It needed something else so I added a vintage button which matched well with some white pearl thread through the holes held in place with a Zot.

I'm submitting this card to this challenge.

Card - SU Color Challenge

I started with a card in Stampin Up Tangerine Tango.  I stamped a Whisper White layer with one of the Itty Bitty Backgrounds in TT and Summer Sun.  I then created banners in SS, Groovy Guave and TT.  I flagged then ends with my 5/8" square punch.  By placing a dot in the centre of the strip it's quite easy to align evenly. I stamped the GG banner with one of the stamps from the Sale-a-Bration set named Simply Wonderful.  I then stamped the flower from the In the Spotlight stamp set in SS on white.  Then another in TT.  I layered these flowers yellow on orange.  This accent was then adhered to the card front with 3D foam tape.

I'm submitting it to Fab Friday 59 Challenge which is Hello Honey, Calypso Coral, Blushing Bride.   I have substituted the colors as indicated in my post above.
