This was the Father`s Day card in this card club.
I started with a black card. I cut a piece of designer paper by Rusty Pickle - Game Time - Run It. This is the back side which looks like wood grain. This was cut 4.00 x 5.25 and adhered to the card front leaving a small border.
The sun burst is a thin die from Stampin Up. I love this one. It was cut from bronze heavy text weight paper which was larger than the A2 card front. I used Scotch Quick Dry adhesive for this task. Once adhered to the card front the rays were trimmed to the edge of the card.
The stars were cut from taupe card stock and the same heavy text weight bronze paper with the Sizzix Star 2 die which has 4 different sized of stars. The large taupe star was adhered to the center of the start burst. The greeting had the right hand end flagged then adhered to the center. The bronze medium and the taupe small stars were adhered together. This accent was then adhered over the large star with 3D foam tape. The greeting can easily be left out or adhered on the right hand corner.

Rise and Shine Tea
I started with a bright turquoise card.
I cut the sun with the Stampin Up Sunburst Thinlit from yellow Bazzil Textured card stock. Trimmed to the edge of the card.
I created the sentiment with the words from the Verve Stamps Rise and Shine Digital Set free download during this blog hop. I colored it with Night of Navy and punched it with the SU 1 3/8 inch circle punch. I cut a turquoise circle with the 1.75 inch punch from SU. I cut the navy scallop circle with a Nestabilities Scallop Circle thin die. These were adhered as shown and adhered to the card front with 3D foam tape.
I added a tea cup from the Stampin Up Tea Shoppe Stamp set in Night of Navy. It was printed then I fussy cut around the edge and used an exacto for the handle. This was also adhered with 3D foam tape.

Decorative Set - Set 1
This sunburst layer was cut from decorative paper made with technique using Alcohol Inks and Floor Wax. My mixing of colors had created some muddy colors so it was a challenge to decide which color to highlight. I tried warm pink, kelly green, yellow cards and finally settled for this warm green card. I cut the decorative layer with the Stampin Up Sunburst Thinlit. I adhered it to the card front then trimmed the rays to the card edge. I added several Prima Flowers as an accent held in place with a gold flower sequin on a gold tiny brad. I added a greeting with the SU Decorative Label punchie and a SU Word Window greeting. These were adhered together then glued to the card with 3D foam tape.
You can check out my other cards made with this great die by following this link.
On this card I used decorative paper made by spritzing color from a spray bottle through stencils and other materials to create decorative patterns. This piece includes yellows, greend and blues. I chose a pale blue textured card onto which I adhered the decorative paper. I then spread a piece of metallic ribbon across the bottom third of the card and taped the ends to the inside of the card. I layered several Prima flowers with other silks and held them all in place with a tiny gold star brad. Great any reason card.
This card features a clear embossed color printed greeting in bold red letters on vellum.
Once printed I decided to create a custom background. I trimmed a piece of photo paper to leave a small border then applied Tim Holtz Antique Linen Distress Stain to the center and Walnut Stain to the edges. I made sure to touch the cut edge of the paper was well. This leaves the sentiment very visible against the background with a great dark brown border on the red card.
I chose a red card to repeat the color in the greeting.
The background was adhered to the card then the vellum was held in place with tiny gold star brads in the corners and other areas. This makes a great card for a guy's birthday.

Graduation Card - Sunburst
I started with a royal blue card. I then cut 2 pieces of card stock to 4.00 x 5.25 inches, one white and one yellow. I cut the yellow one with the Stampin Up Sunburt Thin Die and layered it onto the white one. Once adhered together this layer was adhered to the card front. I created a graduation cap by punching 2 squares 1.50 and 1.25 inches with my Creative Memories Double Square punch. I layered the blue onto the larger black. I created a tassel with yellow crochet cotton. I held in place on the hat with a tiny white star brad. I punched a SU decorative label the royal blue card color and added a SU Word Window greeting in yellow. These were adhered together then adhered to the card front with 3D foam tape.

Gold Glitter Sunburst
I managed to cut the Stampin Up Sunburst Thinlit die from something other than yellow card stock. It`s gold glitter so it was not too much of a stretch. I placed it on it`s side so it does not look so much as a sun, which helps. This is a birthday card for a young lady who is growing up quickly. I started with a white card. I added a layer of purple which was adhered to the card front. I adhered the gold glitter sunburst die onto the card front and trimmed the rays to the card edge. I added a sentiment made up of a Spellbinder Nestabilities scallop circle No.2 from the center of the large set cut from hot pink and a color printed greeting which coordinates.

I cut the warm yellow sunburst with the Stampin Up Sunburst thin die and adhered it to the card front and trimmed the rays to the edge of the card. The greeting is a combination of a scalloped circle in the same color cut with the Spellbinder Nestabilities Large Circle set - No.2 from the centre. The greeting is color printed the punched with the 1 3/8 inch Stampin Up punch. These are glued together then the greeting is adhered to the card front with 3D foam tape.

Easter Cards - Sunburst
I made a few Easter cards for my sale on the weekend. I used the Stampin Up Sunburst Thinlit. I cut a sunburst from polka dot designer paper in yellow at 4.00 x 5.25 inches and cut it aligned to the top left hand corner. I adhered it to a card front in a similar color. The greeting was created with a metallic rose scallop circle, then 1 3/8" yellow smooth circle and then the greeting punched with the Stampin Up 1 1/4" circle punch. The Easter layer was adhered to the scallop circle with 3D foam tape then this accent was adhered to the card front over the middle of the sunburst. The second card with blue card, yellow sunburst with a silver scallop circle, a navy circle with a blue greeting.

I copied Brenda's card at QbeeQuest. Check it out here.
On this card I used the same textured yellow card stock. I glued the yellow polka dot sunburst to the card front. I cut another sunburst in brown designer paper. I trimmed off the 4 corners to leave a cross. It was glued over the yellow sunburst aligning the edges. The sentiment combines a copper glitter scallop circle cut with the Spellbinder Nestabilities. The 1 3/8 inch circle was punched from dark brown card stock and the sentiment was punched with the 1 1/4 inch circle.
Note: I cut the sunbursts layers at 4" wide to maximize the 12x12 paper but I'm not sure it was worth it. Alignment is a challenge. When the layer is cut at larger than the 4.25 x 5.5" then you can just trim to the card edge. Easy peasy.

Thinking of You Sunburst
I made this card for a lady who has significant health issues. Her name came across my desk this morning and I thought I should just send a card to let her knowing I'm thinking about her.Can you guess I love my Stampin Up Sunburst Thinlit? It makes bright cheery cards fast and easy. I had cut the designer paper to 4 inches so I needed a layer that wide to make it work. I added 4" the green layer onto the warm yellow card then I I adhered my bright sunburst. I created a sentiment accent with Spellbinder Nestabilities Large Circle Set - 1 scallop circle and 1 smooth circle then the greeting which was color printed and then punched with the 1 3/8 inch circle from Stampin Up.
I hope it finds her well.

Sunburst Birthday Wishes
I purchased the Stampin Up Sunburst Thinlit during Sale a bration. I love this die!! Makes a great looking card in a hurry.
I chose a navy card and cut a scalloped circle with my Spellbinder Nestabilities Large Circle Set No.2 from the center from the same card stock. I cut the sunburst from yellow designer paper. I quite sure it's by Basic Grey. I designed a large circle greeting and printed and punched it out with the SU 1.75" circle punch. I wanted something between the card and the sunburst. I decided on vellum. I printed a bit of texture onto the vellum, heated some gold embossing powder then trimmed to leave a small border. Adhering of these layers was challenging because not wanting the glue to show through the vellum and the rays on the sunburst.
I've checked out samples on line and the next time I use it I will make it with another color.

Stampin Up Sale-a-bration Party
I had scheduled a Sale-a-bration Party for this evening. Unfortunately, no one decided to attend so I cancelled it on Sunday. Very disappointing but life is like that at times.
I called my demo, Gail and we agreed that we had this appointment on our calendars and we would honour it. She came with the Mini Treat Framelits and we made a couple of samples. She saw that I had ordered the Sunburst Thinlit Die and she had it so she brought it along to surprise me. That was great!!
Here's the samples we made this afternoon.
This treat bag was made with vellum and we used mini glue dots to hold it together. She brought the Rose Wonder stamp set and the Rose Garden Framelit set. We replaced one of the cutting plates with the Precision Base Plate in the Big Shot. With that sandwich we cut the smaller rose from Cherry Cobbler card stock. We used the Big Shot Die Brush to release the die cut from the thinlit. We got a very good cut. We created a card to go inside which measures 3.5 x 5 inches folded. We glued the rose in the bottom left hand corner with Fine Tip Glue Pen. I stamped the frame and the greeting in Cherry Cobbler on Whisper White. Then cut it with the corresponding framelit from the set. It was adhered to the card from with Dimensionals. I added some some shine to the rose with the Gold Wink of Stella Glitter Brush. We applied some to the heart which we cut out of the lower treat bag. This photo does not do it justice. It is very effective and easy to apply evenly.
We used Real Red Envelope Paper for the bag. We then used the heart framelit from the set to make a hole in the from of the bag before we assembled it. We assembled it Multi Purpose Liquid Glue. I used a piece of non SU design paper which did not match the best but it gives me a sample. We created a card to go inside which measures 3.5 x 5 inches folded. Having placed the white card inside I was able to align my patterned paper heart very nicely. It was done with the Sweetheart Punch. Isn't it nice when products are designed to work with each other. We cut the bow, the word Enjoy from the same patterned paper and the banner from white with the other framelits in the set.
This is the third card we made with the Sunburst Thinlit. It cuts all the rays for you. We used on of the sheets from the Cherry on Top DSP 6" pad. The die is larger than the A2 card so once it is adhered to the card front you just trim off the rays to the card edge. Quick and easy!! We adhered the Crushed Curry yellow die cut to a Whisper White A2 card. We selected the greeting from the Sunburst Saying stamp set in Basic Black. Placing the greeting is very easy. There are so many possibilities for the greeting on this die. It can be round, a heart, or a label. It can be layered or not. The accent can be adhered with 3D foam tape.

We enjoyed a cup of tea and a good visit following our card making. Thanks Gail for going the extra mile. I appreciate it.
