Winter Snowflakes

I started with a Stampin Up! Elegant Eggplant card.  I used a couple of the snowflake stamps from Snowflake Soiree set in Lovely Lilac on Whisper White.  I trimmed the snowflake layer to leave a good border.  I adhered it to the card front. I then cut a piece of textured Lovely Lilac card stock to 4" W x 1.25" T.  I distressed the top and bottom edges with my distress tool.  I adhered it to the card front.   I cut the sentiment from silver card stock with the Cricut and the Winter Frolic cartridge.  I then adhered the sentiment onto the textured layer.

Card - Tropical Pineapple

I made a couple of these for my exchange group and it worked for a challenge where the subject was food!
I cut the pineapple with a Sizzix die and then embossed the lower half with the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots emb folder.  I cut the top leaf part of the die in a green card stock.  I trimmed it and glued it to the top of the yellow pineapple. I lightly brushed the pineapple to highlight it with a bit of dark brown.  Smudged a bit into the leaves as well to create some texture.  I selected a bright green card to which I glued a piece of distressed black designer paper.  I then added the 3 bright green flowers below the pineapple held in place with tiny black brads.

Cmas Card Challenge - Feb - Musical Christmas

Musical Christmas could include carolers, instruments, or hymns. What comes to mind?
I started with Bazzil Mocha Divine card stock. I printed a scanned image of the music for the "Little Drummer Boy" song on vanilla card stock (4 per 8.5x11). The quarter sheet was was trimmed, smudged with ink and I distressed it's edges. I wrapped the bronze organza ribbon around just below the song title, knotted it and trimmed it's ends. This layer was glued to the card front. I cut a matching oval of card stock with my Creative Memories oval cutter and then trimmed a sepia colored image of the Little Drummer Boy. This accent was then mounted on the card with 3D foam tape.
I made 6 of these.
