Cards - Charity - IWin

Dipping into my commercial decorative paper stash I found this warm tone piece of card stock.

These colors strike me as More Mustard and Always Artichoke but I am only guessing.

I cut the piece down and adhered it toward the bottom of the A2 Summer Sun card base.

I cut the small butterfly with the Stampin Up Beautiful Butterflies Bigz die. I added a body and antennae in black. Adhered to an Always Artichoke tag cut with the Sizzix Tag Set die.

It was mounted to cover up some purple color on the left hand side. I trimmed it as needed to stay within the card edge.

I added a sage colored ribbon on the tag.  The greeting was stamped with a clear polymer stamp which I don't have credits for, with Always Artichoke ink.

This card is in the landscape orientation.

Same Summer Sun card base in the A2 size.

I added a couple of strips of Always Artichoke card stock leaving a small gap between them toward the bottom of the card.

I cut the medium butterfly from the same paper as the one above. I added a black body and antennae.

The greeting is the Modern Label and Word Window that I have used before.

White quarter sheet insert and white envelopes.

I started by cutting the large butterfly from book pages from a book that fell apart recently.  I managed to finish reading it at least.

I chose a Crumb Cake card stock which is a kraft color which I rubbed with SU Tea Stain ink pad.  I added a strip of Soft Suede embossed with a Cuttlebug folder. It was adhered to the right of center.

I added the large butterfly with a black body and antennea over the embossed strip.

I adhered the Word Window greeting which was stamped with a SU small stamp.

A landscape (wide) layout for this card with the same large butterfly cut from a book page. Distressed with the SU Tea Stain ink pad. A black body and antannea.

A stip of Soft Suede embossed with the Swiss Dots folder mounted in the center of the card.

Adhered the butterfly and stamped the greeting in the bottom right hand corner.

These will all sit under books for weight over night and will be ready in the morning.

Card Making - Sets Continue

I switched the designer paper to Well Worn which gives me masculine cards for variety.

These a DSP Splits which means I cut the designer paper to 4.00 x 5.25 inches then cut again at 3.5 inches.

This designer paper is double sided so I can just turn the small piece over and tape it on the back scotch tape and I have the same size layer to work with. on the left I add a piece of Crumb Cake card stock and a strip of Not Quite Navy.  I used my square punch to punchout some square to repeat the pattern on the left hand side of the card. I then glued a few of the small punchies on the right hand side with Bling Zots.

Another set of cards with theWell Worn Designer Paper Set.

I cut the designer paper to leave a small border on the Crumb Cake card base.  On th left I created an accent with the Tim Holtz Bracket die in Cajun Craze, then a strip of Crumb Cake then a strip of Not Quite Navy.  I adhered these the added 3 holes. I strung some shiny cord through them and knotted it at the center front. I added a star brad through the center hole.  This accent was then adhered to the card front. On the right, I created an accent with a piece of So Saffron card stock riipped on the right. Added a strip of Cajun Craze and a narrow strip of Not Quite Navy.  I then poked holes on either side of the navy and using a large needle stitched the criss cross pattern over it with yellow yarn.

Again, A2 size with white quarter sheet inserts and white envelopes.

Birthday Cards

My Final July birthday for my niece's husband.  He celebrates the same day as Mom did when she was with us.

I chose a SU Crumb Cake A2 card base.

I added two pieces of designer paper which measure 3 inches square. I chose coordinating designs and adhered one top left and other bottom right.

I added an oval Kraft tag with jute tie.  To that I added a oval greeting with burgundy letters.

I added a large sequin and gold glitter star brad in the bottom left hand corner of the greeting. It was adhered to the front of the card with 3D foam tape.

A white insert was added to the inside of the card.

This card is for one of my sister that celebrates early August so it needs to get into the mail now.

I used SU textured Lovely Lilac as the card base.

I cut a tag from Handsome Hunter card stock with the Sizzix Tag die. I embossed the bottom end of the tag with the SU Script embossing folder.

I added a piece of vellum to provide a base for the tag with judiciously placed tape.  I adhered the tag in the top right hand corner.

I added a Decorative Label greeting printed in Lovely Lilac in the top left corner adhered with 3D foam tape.  White insert in the landscape card.

Christmas Card - Madonna

I created this Christmas card for the same friend who wanted a variety of cards.  I found this image on Pixabay which hosted royalty free images.

The image of Mary and baby Jesus was soft and lovely.  I printed it on the card front with a taupe border.  I added a Crumb Cake greeting from the Stampin Up Come to Bethlehem stamp set cut with the Bitty Banner Framelits.  It is adhered to the card front with 3D foam tape.

It's a lovely card.

Ready2Go Card Kits - Festive Flurry Snowflake

I started with the Stampin Up Festive Flurry Ornament Kit.  I chose 4 of the 6 elements in the kit to make a set of card kits.  I printed a narrow border in the same color on the Soft Sky card front in order to ground the snowflake.  I adhered the largest Crumb Cake snowflake then the super sparkly glitter snowflake then the smallest Soft Sky snowflake which is mounted with 3D foam tape.  I cut the Crumb Cake circles that came with kit in half and it was mounted in the center of the card aligned with the bottom edge.  I printed greetings in Crumb Cake and cut them with the largest of the Bitty Banner Framelits and adhered it over the half circle. The greeting is from the Come to Bethlehem stamp set.

R2G Card Kits - SU - Kraft Dots

I started with Stampin Up Early Espresso card stock.  I added a layer of Kraft & White Polka Dots from the Season of Style designer paper.  It was cut to 4.00 x 5.25 inches to leave the small border.  I added a length of Early Espresso seam binding to the DSP layer and taped the ends to the back. It was then adhered to the card front. The main element is the town from the Come to Bethlehem stamp set and the greeting from the same set.  The town in EE and the greeting in Crumb Cake.  The element was cut with the Apothecary Framelit and adhered to the card front.

Majestic Tree

I created this card for someone celebrating a birthday this week.  I started with a Stampin Up Crumb Cake card stock piece.  I selected a piece of DSP from the Adventure Bound  Paper Stack and cut it to 3" square.  I stamped onto it a tree from the Lovely as a Tree stamp set in black. I added a layer of Basic Black card stock cut to 3.25" square.  I stamped the greeting from the Itty Bitty Banner stamp set in black on the same colored card stock. I then die cut it with the corresponding framelit.  I cut another one from black, cut it in half crosswise and adhered it to the back offset on both ends. I stamped a bit of washi tape from the Tape It stamp set in black on the card front before I adhered the tree layer.
I think I was too tentative with my stamping and they should have stuck out more but such is life.  I adhered the greeting to the card front below the tree layer with 3D foam tape.

Bird on Crumb Cake

I started with a Stampin Up Marina Mist card.  I added texture to it with one of the Itty Bitty Background stamps in MM ink.  I created the background bands with narrow strips of Season of Style DSP left over from this project.  I adhered them so they would fall behind the central element.  I repeated Crumb Cake in the central rectangle which I layered onto a piece of Whisper White.  I stamped the bird from the Punch Potpourri in MM on white and punched him out.  I punched the wing and the branch from MM card stock.  I glued the branch, then the bird then the wing in the bottom left hand corner.  I was tempted to add more MM on the Crumb Cake but resisted.

Can you tell I've been shopping at SU Retired Sales?  I have been looking for this stamp set for a while and found it on the weekend. Yippee!
