Cards - Teal Paisley

I chose this paisley designer paper featuring some cool colors.  It has some pink, fucshia, teal, green, and mustard.  I chose a deep teal card base.

I added a piece of designer paper leaving a small border on the card front.

I added a strip of vellum on the left hand side and it is held in place with a dark pink, light pink flowers with a teal brad in the top left hand side.

I added a Stampin Up Decorative Label stamped with a birthday greeting from the SU Sincere Salutations in Marina Mist ink.  The punchie is mounted with 3D foam tape.

I added another handmade paper flowers combo in the bottom right hand corner.

This card has no greeting.  I have added a grey Knitting Ribbon in a bow at the top third of the card.

I added a ripped piece of vellum on left side.

I added a blank card insert.

HB - Windows Frame & Prima Flowers

I made this card for a friend celebrating a birthday today.

I started with a Stampin Up! So Saffron card base.  I cut a piece of striped Really Rust DSP with the Window Frames Collection Framelits.  I then cut a 3" square of copper metallic card stock which I placed behind the die cut aligning the corners.  I adhered these two the card front. I chose the Chocolate Chip marker and ink the birthday stamp in the Sincere Salutations set and stamped it in the bottom right hand corner.  I then used the fine end of the marker to add stitching around the copper square. I then, selected 2 Prima Flowers - a large light yellow and a smaller orange.  I then added a smaller rust and a smaller still handmade paper yellow one.  These were layered onto each other from smallest to largest.  They were placed in the center of the die cut and held in place with a dark brown brad.

SU - Get Well Soon

I made this card for a friend who is recovering from surgery.
I used Stampin Up products on this card. I started with a Tempting Turquoise card.  I stamped it with Itty Bitty backgrounds in turquoise. I cut a Top Note from Petals and Paisleys.  I added a length of Old Olive grosgrain ribbon along the pink edge and taped the ends to the back.  I added 3 turquoise handmade paper flowers held in place with white tiny brads. The top note was then adhered to the card front.  I stamped the sentiment from the Sincere Salutations in Old Olive and punched it out with the Decorative Label punch.  I punched another label in pink and cut it half and layered them behind the white one. This is mounted to the top note with 3D foam tape.

Card - Sunburst

I've been wanting to make a Sunburst / Sunray card but I was at a bit of a loss has to how to proceed.  Math is not my strength. After looking at a lot of cards on line, I finally found this tutorial by Frances which was exactly what I was looking for. This method allows you to put your focal point any where you want.
To make an A2 card I cut 6 pieces of designer paper into pieces measuring 4.5"x1.5".  This piece is then cut diagonally corner to corner.   Once done I had 12 triangle pieces. I cut a piece of white card stock to 4"x5.25".  I marked my focal point. Start with the center one then lay out the rest before you start to glue.  Glue each one right next to the other and they will go over the edges and corners of the rectangle.  I chose to stop at the 2/3 point. Turn the piece over and trim the designer paper to the edge of the card stock.  I cut a strip of card stock same as the card which I embossed with Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder. I glued it over the focal point and trimmed the right and left edges to the rectangle. This layer was trimmed a little to allow for a golden yellow layer then added to a blue card.  I stamped the greeting with Stampin Up! Sincere Salutations in blue ink.  I added a blue button with yellow thread tied to it with a Zot to the focal point over the blue strip.

Card - Color Challenge

I made this card for Crazy for Cards - Color Challenge.  I started with a yellow card, I added a navy blue background layer embossed with Cuttlebug Polka Dots embossing folder.  I cut a pink label cut with a Apothecary Framelit.  I cut a white rectangle with a QuicKutz die.  I stamped the greeting from the SU! Sincere Salutations in navy and rubbed the edges with the ink pad.  I mounted the greeting with 3D foam tape.  I used 2 navy brads to hold the label in place. I punched the one edge of the green strip with the SU! Eyelet border punch.  I slipped the green strip under the pink label and aligned it with the left edge of the label.

Card - Double Die - Thank You

I made this card for a lady who helped with the window renovations that took place this summer.

I started with the idea "Can I cut my script thanks inside the largest of the Apothecary Framelits?" I can!  This was so cool. Check this post for How To.

 I started with the green card stock for the framelit and cut the thanks within it.  I placed a piece of dark DP behind the words so that it would pop. It takes care to apply glue carefully on the back of the die cut to ensure all the shapes are held down properly.  I placed these elements on a rust piece of card stock. Then onto a black card.  I added a couple of five petal punchies in black and gold which are held in place with a coordinating snap. I curled up the petals on the gold one but putting it into the scanner sort of flattened it!  I stamped only the "so much" from the Sincere Salutations in Kiwi Kiss.

Card - Thank You Card Challenge

I created this card for a Thank You Card Challenge.  I started with the designer paper which I cut with the SU! Apothecary Framelits.  Based on the paper I selected an ivory card and a blue layer which I embossed with the Cuttlebug Victorian embossing folder which was adhered to the card front.  I stamped the greeting in blue with the SU! Sincere Salutations stamp set then cut it out with another of the SU! Apothecary Framelits. I rubbed the edges of both die cuts with the ink pad. Once the large die cut was glued to the embossed layer I added the navy blue gross grain ribbon going from top to bottom of the card. I added a slit in the top fold of the card which I cut with an Exacto-knife. I placed the smaller greeting diecut over the navy ribbon with 3D foam tape. I tied a short length of pink ribbon on the navy one just above the greeting.

R2G - Designer Paper Band - Card kit

Another R2G card kit working with some SU retired designer paper - Good Morning Sunshine DP which features the colors Kiwi Kiss, Pacific Point, Summer Sun and Chocolate Chip.
I started with a green card and added a band accent. The base of the band is deep blue to which I added a band of DP of small dots.  I wrapped the band with a piece of green satin ribbon which I taped to the back. Then added a short piece tied onto it.  This is double sided ribbon but I managed to get both green sides to show. I stamped the greeting from SU Sincere Salutations in green and punched it out with the SU Decorative Label punch. I layered this with another punchie of the deep blue.  The greetings is applied to the card front with 3D foam tape.
