Cards - A2 - Scraps on my desk

The card base is dark brown textured cardstock.

I cut a piece from a scrap of this gold and kraft polka dot card stock to leave a small border and adhered it to the card front.

I glued a strip of the card base card stock across the front aligned to the top.

I cut a bird on a branch with the Tim Holtz die and adhered it on with Scotch Quick Glue.

I used a gold sharpie marker to add an eye to the bird and some marks on the cardstock strip and branch.

A white insert and an off white envelope.  Yeah!

I chose a Stampin Up Kiwi Kiss card base for this card.

I cut a piece of SU designer paper which was just begging to be colored.  I used some Prismacolor pencils to color the main flower and the surrounding leaves.  I left the lilies white.

This layer was adhered to the card front with double sided tape.

Really simple but effective.

A white insert and envelope and another hits the stash.

Another Kiwi Kiss card base with a totally different card front.

The designer paper is a leftover.  I cut the layer leaving a small border then I cut it again and turned over the small piece to show the script back side.  I taped these together with clear tape.  It was adhered to the card front.

I added a narrow strip of dark brown cardstock over the join.

I cut a bird on the branch again this time in Baja Breeze and used quick dry glue attached him along the strip.

A white quarter sheet insert and a matching envelope.

A cute baby card.  I painted this little bear a few weeks ago for my Macro Monday challenge on Flickr.

I turned it into a card.  I trimmed it to the 3x3 size which is the limit for MM.

I layered it onto dark brown cardstock leaving a nice border.

I mounted it onto a Baja Breeze card base.

Dug into my stash of greetings and added this 2" oval punchie mounted with 3D foam tape.

Added a quarter sheet insert and an envelope.

Christmas Cards - Teddy Bears

I found 2 Teddy Bear pages in my stash of old calendar pages. Here's the original post to the calendar.

Here's Teddy with the small Nativity set.  A gorgeous mercury glass tree in the background.

To create the card I chose Stampin Up Midnight Muse card stock for the base.

I cut a piece of Bashful Blue card stock with the Tim Holtz Cameo Frame die.  I trimmed the photo to 3 5/8 inches wide and 3 3/4 inches tall. I just love how well this works.

I added iridescent snowflakes with small white sequins held in place with navy star tiny brads at the top and bottom of the photo.

This was adhered to the card front.

I added a blank quarter sheet insert which should have had a sentiment.  I will stamp something.  A white envelope and it's done.

Here's the other Teddy photo.  Same mercury glass tree and a beautiful wire ball box which is meant to gift a memento.

The card base on this card is textured paper in a navy blue.

The layer is again Bashful Blue which was trimmed to leave a small border once the photo was trimmed to 3.75 inches square.

This layer was adhered to the front of the card.

I added an oval greeting adhered with 3D foam tape.

A quarter sheet insert and a white envelope.

Another couple added to the Christmas card box.

All Occasion Photo Cards - Craft Sale

I am working on photo cards for my craft sale tomorrow at the Millwoods United Church.  This is my first time being juried for photo cards so I decided to work on 5x7 inch cards which were very popular last year at a sale I attended.

This is Mrs. Bear all decked out in her finest.  I took the photo during my visit to the antique mall a while back.  It required a good amount of editing to create a pleasing image.  Turned out pretty good.

This would make a great all occasion card for any female recipient.

Love this beautiful Dahlia - Alpen Diamond - taken at the St. Albert Botanical Garden this summer.  I love how the petals are separate which makes it a bit unusual as far as dahlias go. They usually have many petals tightly organized around a barely visible center.

Again, perfect for an all occasion card.

These are the cosmos flowers I planted and harvested in a friend`s garden this summer.  I did not get very many but these are lovely.

I paired them with my yellow glass vase.  Love how the yellow in the center of the flowers is repeated in the vase.  I was able to hide the water mark behind the yellow in the neck of the vase.

Super all occasion card.

I initialed all the photos to confirm my art work.

12 Days of Advent

I created a smaller version of my Advent Calendar which may be more manageable for busy families.

You can start on the 1st of December and fit in the 12 days over the 24 days of Advent or you can start on December 12th and conclude on Christmas Day.

It features my photograph of Teddy and the small nativity taken for my photo calendar last year.  Teddy will be appealing to small children I expect.

It is packaged in a black metal frame which holds the 4x6 sheets.  The sheets can just be moved to the back as the days go by.
