Christmas Thank You Cards

I generally use gift wrap from my presents to make my Christmas cards.

This gorgeous geometric paper was on my gift from my niece.

I chose to put the red glitter square in the center and trimmed the 9 squares with scissors then I made it square with the small paper trimmer.

The red velvet ribbon was only on that gift so I cut it with the paper cutter into strips and adhere it to the white card front with brads. The back is plastic and I have found no adhesive which is permanent with this type of ribbon.  In this card it was white snowflake brads.

I adhered the square on an angle and trimmed the excess to the card edge.

I added an oval color printed sentiment punched with the 2" oval punch.  This was adhered with 3D foam tape.

On the other one I left it square on a landscape card and added a Stampin Up Modern Label sentiment.

R2Go Christmas Card Stack Kit - Set 11

I started with a dark teal card base of textured card stock.

The silver layer is metallic card stock cut to 4.00 x 5.25 inches.  It is adhered to the teal card front.

I trimmed the teal foiled ornaments recycled Christmas card to 3.75 x 5 inches.  I managed to keep the essential elements.

I placed 3 teal snowflake sequins on the teal ornament layer and made holes with a push pins and inserted tiny round pewter brads to hold them in place. I pressed the prongs apart on the back.

The teal ornament layer was then adhered to the card front with 3D foam tape.

A quarter sheet insert with a Christmas sentiment is included in the kit.

The card started with a set of recycled Christmas cards each a little different.

I chose a warm grey card base to repeat the color in the pencil drawings on the card.

I placed some red metallic paper on the bottom half of the card which was adhered then trimmed to the card edge with scissors.

The card layer was then adhered with 3D foam tape.

These look great!

Card Club - November - Kraft Tag

I started with the kraft and red glitter tag.  I added a red satin ribbon.

I chose a dark brown card base and added an embossed layer.  The white card stock layer was created with the Stampin Up Petals a Plenty folder and leaves a small border of the card showing.  The embossed layer is adhered to the card front.

The tag was adhered to the embossed layer then a tiny red brad was placed through a hole made with a push pin. The prongs were spread apart on the inside of the card.

I created the greeting by printing it on white card stock and punching them out with the SU Modern Label punch.  I added a red glitter label which was cut in half crosswise and adhered behind the greeting offset on the left and right.  The greeting is adhered to the card front with 3D foam tape.

Wedding Anniversary - 40th

I made this card for my sister and brother-in-law who are celebrating 40 years of marriage at the end of the month.

I started with a Stampin Up Cherry Cobbler card.  I punched the 2 hearts from deep red glitter card stock.  I color printed the greeting onto a piece of Whisper White which was just under 3" wide.  I adhered the 2 hearts above the greeting with Zots. I ripped the bottom edge of the greeting layer. I layered it onto a piece of Basic Black and did the same to it's bottom edge. I placed 2 pieces of white twill ribbon on the diagonal to the upper right hand corner and adhered them to the card front.  The first one has a small fold in it.  I trimmed the ends with scissors. I then layered the heart layer onto the card front leaving a small border top and right hand side.
