Friday's Hunt 10

I'm joining Friday's Hunt hosted by Terese at Eden Hills. The prompts are Starts with J, Favorite and A Cuppa.

Starts with "J". Its a Jug. I took a picture of my jug of water.  To make sure I drink enough water every day I fill this jug and leave it on the counter.  Hopefully by the end of the day it's empty and I have had my 8 glasses of H20 for the day. It does not always work out.

This is my favorite shot of the week. At my visit to the Conservatory I took this shot of the Prickly Pear Cactus with it's purple fruit which are filled with seeds. The leaves and fruit are edible once the spines are removed. Leaf pads are eaten as a vegetable. Fruit are eaten raw and used to make juice, jelly and candy.  I was excited to see the new green shoot growing which means spring has to be around the corner.

This is this morning's cuppa of tea. It's Rooibos (Red) Chai tea with some honey and cream.  I'm having it in a stoneware mug featuring blue with painted organics below the border.  This was a gift from a friend.

  1. That is a great idea to help make sure you get enough water. I am horrible about drinking water; I much prefer tea. That is a lovely stoneware mug. The cactus shot is amazing. I don't think I've ever seen one with the flowers before. Thanks for sharing at Friday's Hunt.

  3. Cheers to you, Sylvia. I like your selection. Your jug of water is a great idea. I use a 32-ounce water bottle, filling it up after each meal. Yeah, I go through a lot of water because of my skin.

  4. Good for you drinking all the water. I find it easier to drink room temperature water than cold water. Nice mug!
