R2G All Occasion Stack Kit - Porcelain Prints

Here's another Ready 2 Go All Occasion Stack kit.
I chose Stampin Up Porcelain Prints DSP which offered a good variety of colors.  The cards are Wild Wasabi, Bayou Blue and River Rock.  The greetings are on Very Vanilla and cut with SB smooth circle Nestabilities at 2 3/8 for the solid and 2 1/8 for the greeting.  The greetings were selected from the Wetlands, Teeny Tiny Wishes and Wonderful Wings stamp sets.  The colors chosen coordinate with the card colors (BB, RR, WW). I chose greetings for the more challenging times in life when a softer design and paper works best.

The DSP was cut to 4" squares.  I adhered a piece of Very Vanilla Satin Ribbon to the edge of the DSP and adhered the ends to the back.  This layer was adhered to the card front in either the wide or tall orientation.  The greeting was adhered to a solid accent circle in a coordinating color.

This kit is available for my June class.

R2G Christmas Stack Kit - Holiday Poinsettias

For this Ready 2 Go Card Kit I chose the OSW3 template which makes 4 cards per 6x6 inch of DSP.  I chose the poinsettias paper from the Stampin Up Holiday Thyme collection.  The card colors are Cranberry Crisp and Bravo Burgundy and Old Olive for the accent layer.  The greetings were put on Whisper White.  The greetings are from the Joyful Christmas, Lovely as a Tree, Keepsake Ornaments, Calm Christmas stamp sets. The red in the greeting matches the card and the green is Old Olive.  The greetings were cut with the Window Frame framelit and the accent square is 2.5 inches.  The accent layer is adhered to the card front with 3D foam tape.  The accent strip is half an inch wide and trimmed at the card edge.
The one sheet wonder technique allows one to make a lot of cards quickly.  This kit is available for my SU Christmas Stack class on June 8th.

R2G Christmas Stack Kit - Christmas Cocoa

Here's my next set of Ready 2 Go Card Stack kit.  In this one I chose the OSW1 Template which produces 3 card layouts per 6x6 DSP.
The Stampin Up DSP is called Christmas Cocoa and has Real Red, Soft Suede and Whisper White as it's colors.
The greetings stamp set I chose is Owl Occasions in those colors.  The accent layers are the opposite from the card color so Soft Suede on the Real Red the other way around on the Soft Suede card.  Each of the accents have both colors included.  The greetings were cut to 2.75" with an accent layer of 3 inches.

The card layout presents 2 wide cards and 1 tall card. Of course, the pieces can all be changed in orientation to make cards the as you prefer. The kit makes 12 cards.

One Sheet Wonder 3 - The Cards

Here's the cards I made with my latest One Sheet Wonder Template - 3.
I chose Bazzill Great Lakes textured card stock for the cards.  Green and turquoise for the accent layers.  I used the Stampin Up Window Frame framelits to cut the greeting layers. The stamps sets are Feeling Sentimental for greeting and Bliss for the images matching the accent layers.

The 4" square is cut corner to corner.  The resulting triangles can be placed on the left or right hand side of the card.

The rectangles - one 4.25" wide and the other 5.5" tall. They are very flexible as they can be placed on the left, right, top or bottom on the card front. I see that I did not mix up the placement of the DSP as much as I could have.  The accent strips are cut at a half inch wide.  The triangle cards need a strip of card stock at least 6" long. The colored squares behind the greeting layer is cut at 2.5" inches.

I used quarter sheet inserts.

Check back soon to find my next Ready 2 Go Stack Card kit made with this One Sheet Wonder.

One Sheet Wonder 3 6x6 Template - 4 cards

I've been wanting to create a One Sheet Wonder Template to make 4 cards from a 6 x 6 inch piece of DSP.  This allows me to make a R2G Card kit with one sheet of 12x12 inches DSP. Well here it is!

Again, it makes the most of the DSP with very little waste.

The 4" square is cut corner to corner creating 2 triangles. Note: The 1/2 inch accent strip for the card with a triangle needs to be at least 6" long.  The card layouts allow for wide and/or tall ones.  The DSP can be placed on the left or right hand sides of the card when placing the rectangular pieces.

Check the next posting for the cards I created with this OSW Template.

BBQ Panel Invitation

I got a call from a lady who is the daugther in law of a lady from church.  She is hosting a BBQ in June to get to know her neighbours better and needed a few invitations made. She asked if I be interested in making the invitations.  Of course!  She send me the details and a bit of information on what she preferred.

This is what I can up with.  I designed the pennant banner myself.  The flowers are from CLKER.  I chose Stampin Up Always Artichoke and Summer Sun for the most of the elements. The flowers are Regal Rose.  I printed the half sheet panel on white card stock then trimmed it.  I adhered it to a Summer Sun panel measuring 5.5 x 8.5 inches.  I included white half sheet envelopes as well.   I think it turned out really nice.  I delivered them last night and she was very happy with them! Another happy customer.

Wedding Invite Final Design

Here's the design my friend chose for her wedding invitation!  It's a white and silver design.  I started with a white card.  I embossed a slightly smaller white layer with the mpress Karen Frame folder.  I tied a piece of silver cord around this piece just below the embossed circle frame. This layer was then adhered to the card front.  I then die cut a smooth circle from vellum with Spellbinder nestabilities.  I punched hearts from non shed silver glitter card stock.  I used the Stampin Up Sweetheart punch.  I adhered the first one on the left then adhered the right one with 3D foam tape. I now applied adhesive on the back of the vellum where the hearts covered it and adhered the layer to the center of the embossed frame.  The insert was customized with her information.

Mosaic Monday - Walk Around the Lake

I took a walk around the lake last week and nature was bursting out of every corner.  Birds of all kinds and flowers were blooming.
The ring billed gull, female mallard duck, blue headed mallard duck. Pink apple blossoms and a well disguised sparrow. I loved this shot of the lake water just fading into white but check out the head of the Canada Goose in the bottom left hand corner. The red necked grebe with a fish in her mouth!!! White apple blossoms.  The sun setting on the mallard duck couple and the red winged black bird playing hard to photograph.
It was a wonderful couple of hours in nature. Loved it!

Card Club - May - Rust Masculine Card

With Father's Day coming up soon I decided to make a male card.  I chose some DSP which had good colors on both sides.  I cut it to 4x5.25 inches then again at 2 inches.  I flipped the larger piece over to reveal the polka dots.  I taped the pieces together on the back and the adhered the layer to the front of a blue card.  I cut some rust corrugated card stock into 1 x 4.25 inch pieces. I placed these over the join and adhered it.  I used push pin to create holes through the layers of the card front and put in 2 gold glitter stars.  Pressed apart the prongs on the inside of the card.  I color printed the greetings and punched them with the Stampin Up Modern Label punch. I layered them with a another punchie in an accent colored card stock.  This layer was cut in half crosswise and glued off set on the right and left hand side.  The greeting was adhered to the card front wit 3D foam tape.
Left Card: DSP is graphic45 - Quilting Bee
Right Card: Little Yellow Bicycle - Acorn Hollow

Card Club - May - Felt Flower & Glitter

I started with the large felt flowers which have been in my stash for a while.  The set had yellow, pink, turquoise, pink and green ones.  I matched the card color with the flower.  I chose a very blingy foil and glitter large polka dot background which was cut to leave a small border of card color adhered to the card front.  This is really nice non shed glitter card stock. It provided a nice contrast to the matte felt flower.  I just added a white silk flower in the center.  The silk and felt flowers are held to the card front with a silver brad.

Card Club - May - Handmade Paper Flower

I had a request from some of the girls for wedding cards so this what I made.  I found a frame on CLKER which I modified. I made it a medium grey color and printed directly onto the card.  I then adhered a white doily inside the frame and trimmed the rest off below the greeting.  I adhered a handmade paper flower accent I purchased to the center of the doily.  I printed a greeting in the same color as the frame. It was trimmed close the the border with scissors. It was large and stretched across the width of the card.  It was adhered to the card with 4 pieces of 3D foam tape.

It turned out well.

I had flowers in other colors like green, turquoise, pink, peach.

Card Club - May - Pop Bottle Flowers

Here are the cards for Card Club.
I started with the flowers I printed back in April. You can check this post for the How To.  I decided to add some definition for the flower so I drew petals around the pink dots with a silver marker.  I used a glitter marker for some of them.  I added the black layer behind to hide the design on the back side of the painting since I had use calendar pages.  I mounted this layer to the front of a pink card.  I color printed the greetings to coordinate with the flower and punched them with the Stampin Up Word Window punch.  I layered that onto a SU Bitty Banner die cut in black.  This greeting was adhered to the card front with 3D foam tape.

How To: Printing Flowers with Pop Bottle

I did this activity at Easter during the girls get together with my Mom at Easter.  I see I had not blogged it so here it is.

Here is my original inspiration.

I wanted card sized flowers so I chose a smaller bottle.  I used recycled paper from a calendar so it was earthly friendly activity.  I dipped the end of the bottle in the pink paint and printed it on my white paper.  I used the bottle lid for the flower center. I painted the stems and leaves with a paint brush.  Once dry, I spattered them with silver paint.

You can check out my Card Club cards on Monday to see the final look.

One Sheet Wonder 2 - Vintage Cards

This is the sample set of cards I made with the One Sheet Wonder 2 template I designed.

The template produces 3 pieces of designer paper. I chose a vintage designer paper and 3 colors of card stock with the accent layer of black. The neutral is ivory. I chose vintage images from Graphics Fairy.

I placed the first piece in the centre of a blue card and added layer accent layers on each side and behind the vintage plate graphic.  The image on the first one needs to be able to be placed on the diagonal.  The accent strips are half an inch wide.

The second card I placed the piece on the left hand side on a red card with dogwood flowers.

On the third card the piece was placed on the bottom of a landscape card with the accent strip placed on it's top edge.   I used a vintage tea pot graphic on this one.
Great set of cards!

O Holy Night Card Set

This set of card was made with a photo I took of the nativity set up in my office.   I created a purple gradient background onto which I placed a green frame.  Into the frame I inserted my photo.  I added the words O HOLY NIGHT in a ivory color.  It was printed on card stock and then I trimmed it.  I created a frame in a deep purple color onto an ivory card.  The nativity panel was adhered in the frame.

This set was packaged in a 6x6 clear box with a custom card stock spacer.

Burgundy Star Peace Card Set

This set of cards was created with digital graphics from Aria Sparkles and printed. I created a gradient background onto which the word was placed near the bottom.  I placed the star on the left tucking one point of the star into the word. The panel was trimmed.  I created a burgundy frame and printed it on Astroparche Natural card stock.  The panel was adhered to the card front aligned into the frame.

This set will be donated to an auction. They have been packaged in a 6x6 clear box with a custom spacer.

This was one of the projects I took to my sister's on the long weekend.  I had a great visit with her.

One Sheet Wonder 2 - 3 Cards

I made these cards following the cutting plan from my One Sheet Wonder 2 Template.
Since the plan makes 3 cards I chose 3 different colors of card stock from the DSP.  With the 2 inches strips cut, I chose an accent color, in this case turquoise.  Note: Your accent for card 1 needs to be designed to show well on the diagonal. I printed my accents on the neutral color card stock with the accent color with the Stampin Up Sweet Summer set.  Each card gets a half inch strip of the accent color.  On card one I cut that in half. On card two and three the DSP can be placed on the left or the right, top or bottom.  The accent is adhered to the card front with 3D foam tape.

The bottom photo is the cards in a clear box for a great look as they are a donation for an auction.

One Sheet Wonder 2 6x6 - 3 cards

I worked up another One Sheet Wonder for 6x6 DSP. This one again has 3 different card layouts. You start with a 6 x 6 inch piece of DSP. You cut into 3 pieces of 2" tall and 5.5" wide. Following the card layouts you can make 3 cards in a jiffy. Of course, making multiples of three in different papers allows you to quickly make cards for any occasions.  Check this posting for the first set of cards I made with the One Sheet Wonder 2.

Mosaic Monday - Birds of the Wetland

Here's the other birds I saw in the wetlands last week.  Some birds are very hard to photograph.  For the red wing black bird has been the hardest.  I guess I'm trying to get the red wing, a nice pose, my lens is at the max, etc. They sure sound nice.

After looking at the shots I realized I did not get a Canada Goose.  I heard them but they were not on the water.

Congrats Grad

I made this card for my niece who is graduating from high school.  I started with the stars and then went from there.  I punched a piece of Stampin Up Not Quite Navy with a star border punch from Creative Memories but it's a great substitute for the Confetti Star Punch.  I then punched the stars again from non shed silver glitter paper. I put tape on the back of the strip and placed the stars into the holes.  I used left over DSP strips from this Christmas Card project. I chose a Cherry Cobbler card to go with the strips from the Season of Style stack.  I adhered the wider DSP strip first then placed the narrower strips perpendicular to it.  I alternated narrow and skinny strips.  Then I adhered the NQN star strip over the wide one and shifted it over to the right.  The greeting is from the Sprinkled Expressions stamp set and done in Not Quite Navy.  I cut the right hand side in a banner and adhered it to the card above the star strip.  I then die cut stars with the SU Sizzix Stars #2 die, smaller in the same silver glitter and large in NQN card stock. Layered them and adhered the accent in the top left hand corner with Zots.  I'm happy with the outcome.

I'm submitting this card to the following challenge(s):

Simple Birch Trio

I selected one of the backgrounds I created during my bubble decorating paper session and printed onto the front of my card.  I added a thin border in dark green.  I glued the Memory Box Birch Trio cut in white card stock over the background.  I ripped a piece of white card stock to create snow and a grounding for the trees.   I added a strip of SU Pool Party card stock across the snow bank. I stamped the greeting with a clear stamp and Baja Breeze ink.

Cricut Tea Time

I made this card for a challenge at Cricut Bitten By the Bug2.  I chose a mauve card. I printed the sentiment in the top right hand corner and traced an oval with the white gel marker to hilight it. I cut the tea cup from designer paper with the Joy of the Season cartridge at 3".  I punched a bit of white lace with a Martha Stewart border punch.  I traced a Sizzix sizzlet flourish with a white gel marker to add some steam coming from my tea cup. I created a few markings near the bottom of the card with the white gel marker to ground my cup on the card. I adhered the tea cup to the card front.

Bitten by the Bug2 - Tea Time

Card - Simple Birthday

I started with a pink card which I believe is Stampin Up Pink Passion.  I cut 2 small squares and 1 larger square with my new Sizzix nesting framelits.  The squares are cut from Tempting Turquoise Patterns Pack DSP and the larger from Rainbow Sherbert DSP.  I stamped the sentiment with a stamp from the A Little Birthday Cheer Stamp set.  I then adhered the 2 squares based on a sketch for a challenge.  I cut the butterfly from Daffodil Delight card stock with the Sizzix Winged Beauties framelit set.  I added some definition with a black marker as well as a flight path.

This layer was adhered to the left hand side of the card.  The greeting is from the So Happy for You stamp set done in black with a square thin border.  This was layered onto a piece of Daffodil Delight card stock leaving a small border. I found a large yellow button to which I tied black thread.   It is held in place with a large Zot.
