Cards - Charity

Three more cards for IWin.

The designer paper is Stampin Up Painted Blooms. Nice watercolor design.

I chose SU Lucky Limeade A2 card base for this card.  I added a piece of DSP trimmed to leave a small border.

I adhered the glitter butterfly to 100lb card stock then cut the oval with the Creative Memories cutter.  I added a border of Thalo Blue watercolor pencil then brushed it with water brush.

I created a greeting accent with a Modern Label in blue and taped a Word Window greeting to it.

I adhered the oval accent to the card front then added the greeting with 3D foam tape.

This card base is SU Summer Sun in the A2 size.

A layer of floral designer paper adhered to the card front.

I adhered the silver glitter butterfly sticker to a piece of vellum trimmed to leave a large border.

I added a Not Quite Navy card stock strip along the top attached with 3 silver brads.

I added the round greeting in the top right hand corner with 3D foam tape.

On this card the A2 card base is Always Artichoke.

Trimmed another piece of designer paper to leave a small border.

I adhered the butterfly sticker to a piece of Regal Rose card stock then trimmed it with the CM oval cutter.

I added an Always Artichoke mini brad to the head of the butterfly.

The greeting is a combination of a Modern Label Punchie and a Wordl Window greeting.

Cards - Charity - Glitter Butterflies

I came across glitter butterfly stickers at the thrift store and decided that they would make great cards for IWin.

There was a variety to sizes so the smaller ones would be just right for A2 cards.

I chose Stampin Up Painted Blooms designer paper. I chose 4 colors of card base - Wild Wasabi, Regal Rose, Island Indigo and Blackberry Bliss.

For this card I pressed my butterfly onto a piece of Not Quite Navy card stock then cut the oval with my Creative Memories cutters.

I added an innie outie bow in Regal Rose grosgrain ribbon, and a Modern Label punchie greeting in pink.

This card features a large butterfly stuck to a white 110lb card stock.

I chose a Regal Rose A2 card base and I added squiggles around the outer edge of the card and the oval.

The butterfly was cut the same process as described above.

A Regal Rose grosgrain ribbon in an innie outie bow with a tiny white brad in the center.

A SU Word Window punchie greeting mounted with 3D foam tape.

The A2 card base for this card is Stampin Up Blackberry Bliss.

I cut a piece of the same designer paper paying attention to the color of the flowers so I had some purple ones showing.

I cut the butterfly the same way on Not Quite Navy card stock.  I added stitching around the edge with a white pigment marker.

I added a purple mini brad on the head of the butterfly to repeat the color.

The oval was mounted with 3D tape and the SU Small Oval punchie greeting as well.

It's hard to say if I like the white or colored bases for the butterflies best.

Here it was white based again cut the same way. The CM cutters are wonderful because you can see your layer and then choose from 3 different widths of borders.

Another layer of Painted Blooms DSP.

A stitched border created with a pencil crayon was a great match.

I added a piece Island Indigo satin ribbon on the butterfly oval and a layered Modern Label punchie with a Word Window for the greeting.

Each card has a white quarter sheet insert.

Farewell Card - Painted Blooms

A card for the lady who started the Welcome to my Kitchen fellowship group.  Nine of us met at her house in the fall of 2015 and brain stormed the mission, the activities, and division of responsibilities. It has been a huge success.

We have been going strong for nearly 5 years which means it is meeting a need.  I took charge of the group in 2016 when she needed more time to spend with her elderly mother.

This card is half sheet size so there is enough room for all the sentiments our ladies want to share.

I started with a 8.5 x 11 sheet of Stampin Up Soft Sky card stock which was folded in half.

I chose a sheet of the SU Painted Blooms designer paper - cut to 5.25 x 8.25 inches and adhered to the card front.

I placed a white paper doily in the bottom left hand corner, glued it down and trimmed it to the edge of the card.

I added a grosgrain ribbon in Rose Red wrapped around the card front along the fold and knotted.  Trimmed the ends.    I placed a circle of the same card stock over the doily and trimmed it again to the card edges.   I printed a sentiment banner in Wild Wasabi and Rose Red which I fussy cut to the border.  It was adhered to the card front tucking the left hand end under the ribbon.

Round Thank You

I started with a Stampin Up Always Artichoke card and I selected the In the Spotlight stamp set.  I cut the large circle from the Painted Blooms DSP with a Spellbinder Smooth Circle Nestabilities thin die.  I then stamped the circle from the set with Purely Pomegranate ink on Rich Razzleberry card stock.  I cut it with a Nestabilities die.  I then stamped the circle greeting with Pacific Point on white which I punched with a 5/8" punch.  I punched a .75" circle in the same blue. I layered them together. I stamped the dotted border in the same blue on white.  I trimmed it evenly on both top and bottom and flagged it's right hand end.  I stamped the same dotted border in Always Artichoke onto the card front creating a working space for my trio of circles.  I then adhered the largest circle in the top left hand corner then the medium Rich Razzleberry next to the right of the first one.  I glued the blue dotted banner parallel to the green one.  I glued the blue greeting over the left hand end of the banner.

Painted Blooms Thank You

I just love this Stampin Up Painted Blooms DSP.  I just received my order with the Lost Lagoon card stock so I was ready to cut a sheet - it was hard though. I wanted a large thank you across the bottom so I selected a digital one from the Eventful Year collection and changed the colors to match this paper. I printed it on vellum and embossed it. I printed again from Eventful Year some polka dot paper which I changed to Lost Lagoon onto my card front.  I cut my DSP at 3 by 5.5 inches.  I adhered it off centre to the right.  The greeting was getting lost in the stems so I placed a strip of white card stock behind the vellum in order to have the greeting highlighted.  I adhered the vellum to card stock with vellum adhesive then adhered that to the card front.
