Cards - All Occasion

I wanted to finish a few more cards before cleaning up my space for company as well as use up the rest of this gold speckled paper.

An Island Indigo card base with a piece of the gold decorative paper adhered with ds tape and glue stick.

I added a gold fabric ribbon along the left hand edge knotted to the top of the card.

A flower element with leftover flowers from the earlier set. Cut with the Tim Holtz Tattered Flowers die.

Rust, golden yellow and blue to match the card all held in place with a copper mini brad.

White quarter sheet insert and envelope.

A masculine themed card with Not Quite Navy card base with a piece of the gold speckled decorative paper.

A length of gold fabric ribbon tied along the top edge and knotted.

I cut a Tim Holtz mover and shaper Jalopy truck from same card stock as card and adhered with 3D tape.

A white quarter sheet insert with a white envelope.

For this card I used a SU Handsome Hunter A2 card base.

Adhered a piece of gold speckled decorative paper and trimmed the left hand side to the card edge with scissors.

Added a length of gold fabric ribbon along the fold edge of the card and knotted.

There was a star shaped hole where I had cut a shape earlier.  I cut a yellow star with the same cutter (SU Star Thinlits). It was adhered over the hold with 3D foam tape.

A white quarter sheet insert and white envelope and it is ready to give.

A bit of change of pace in color for this card.

The star was a leftover from earlier cardmaking so I mounted it to a piece of Tempting Turquoise card stock trimmed to leave a border.

I chose a bright green card base - Glorious Green I think.

I tacked the large star in Summer Sun then the small star in the same color as the blue layer.

Made a hole in these layers and added a yellow star brad.

This layer was then adhered to the green card front.

White quarter sheet insert and envelope.

Celestial Stuffies

I made a set of stuffies for a little girl celebrating a birthday soon.  Sun, Moot and Star.

The Sun: I cut orange and yellow felt with rays layered on top of each other then turned the yellow one over. I cut a circle of warm yellow and stitched it to the center and stuffed before closing it up with over stitches. I add longer stitched to connect the rays to each other.  I added some orange stitches to the center.

The Moon.  I cut 2 large circles from white felt then cut out smaller circles from one of them. I layered some grey flannel fabric under it and used stab stitches to connect the two. Once the 3 craters were done I stitched the 2 white circles together with the blanket stitch around the outside. Once I was close I stuffed the moon with fiber fill and then closed the opening.

The Star: The 2 star shapes were cut with Stampin Up Star thinlit dies from yellow felt.  I embroidered the front shape with variegated thread.  The shapes are held together with blanket stitching.  It was stuffed with fiber fill.

Star Birthday Card

I made a special card for someone who celebrates a birthday early in the year.

A friend requested a special card and I know the recipient`s favorite color is purple.

I started with a deep purple card base. I added a layer of gold card stock. I then added designer paper pieces which had been splattered with gold acrylic paint. The designer paper is by Scrap Ease - Fleur de Lis - Amethyst.

I added stars cut with the Stampin Up Star Framelits larger one in deep purple and smaller one in the same gold card stock as the background.  These were adhered together and adhered to the card front with 3D foam tape.

I added a banner of the gold card stock on the bottom piece of designer paper and added a white ribbon and a white greeting.

Thank You Cards

These cards are for those people who provided support during the process.  For those of you who have been through it - you need your friends at a time like this.

This card started with a bright green card.

I added a mottle pattern piece of designer paper in bright greens which was cut to 4.00 x 5.5 inches.  It was adhered leaving a small border.

I wrapped a white doily around the left edge and adhered it to the card front.

I added a navy greeting punched with the 2 inch circle punch with a larger navy circle cut with one of the Spellbinder Nestabililites thin-lits.  This was adhered with 3D foam tape.

This card started with a Kiwi Kiss card base.

I added a piece of the same mottled bright green designer paper. I wrapped a piece of light blue seam binding around the designer paper and knotted it to the front.  It was adhered to the card front.

I added a label cut with the Spellbinder Nestabilities Labels 13 in the same card stock.  I adhered a light blue card stock star cut with the Stampin Up Star Framelits and a silver star confetti held in palce with a green mini brad. The label was then adhered to the card front.

I added the oval greeting which was printed in blue and punched with the 2 inch oval punch.  It was adhered over the ribbon with 3D foam tape.

Red Green & Gold Cards to the Gallery

I used my ink blot decorative paper in red, green and gold for this set of cards.  I cut the paper to leave a small border of the card color showing.

On this first one I added white and red silk flowers.  These are held in place with a gold brad and a gold flower sequin.

I used the paper again for these two cards.  I cut the stars with the Stars Framelits Dies Collection set  from Stampin Up. I chose to alternate the card and back star colors then added a gold glitter star over the card stock one.  The stars are held in place with a tiny red star brad.

These were delivered to the gallery today.
