Thank You Cards - Finally Set 2

The card base is SU Taken with Teal in the A2 size in portrait orientation.

Trimmed the rough edges off this piece and ripped the bottom edge.

I saw flowers in the salt marks in this piece so I took my fine black marker and drew them in.

Added stems and leaves reaching to the bottom of the paper with additional grassy strokes.

It pays to save bits of ephemera.  The green yarn came in really handy.

The A2 card base is SU Pumpkin Pie with a watecolor panel marked with saran wrap on wet color and left to dry.

I punched 4 holes with the 1/8 inch punch. Two on the right and 2 on the left.  I taped the end of the green yarn found in the stash and was able string it through the holes and knot both ends.

I added a SU Artisan Label punchie colored with pencils and held on the yarn with a orange clip.

With the yarn still on my table I used in this card.

I trimmed the waterolor to crisp straight edges.

I layed a strip of double sided tape to the back of the watercolor piece.  Layed my pieces of green yarn then added another piece of ds tape and adhered it to the SU Dusty Durango card base.

Once adhered, I picked apart the strands of the yarn to create this wavy row of goodness.

I added an 2 inch oval punchie greeting below the yarn frill.

The A2 card base is SU Island Indigo.

I added a piece of SU ribbon in So Saffron and flagged the bottom end.  Trimmed the top edge to the top of the card.

I mounted the piece of rough edge watercolor panel over the ribbon aligned along the top.

Each card has a white quarter sheet insert with a white envelope.

Thank You for Rescue

I made thank you cards for the friends and neighbours who helped me yesterday.  I ended up locked out of my place through my own inattention and needed rescuing.  Thanks for being willing to help, calling a locksmith and checking in on me while I waited. Expensive day.

This card is for the neighbor who stepped into action despite no knowing me and being new to the building.

Navy card, a wavy black remnant and some hexagon die cuts.

A Stampin Up Modern Label greeting adhered with 3D foam tape.

This card is for the friend who helped me unwind after my adventure.

A bright green card with yellow polka dot designer paper.

A ripped strip of blue with a floral accent.

A 2 inch oval greeting in the bottom right hand corner adhered with 3D foam tape that coordinates with the blue strip.

This card is for the neighbour who hung out while I waited for the locksmith.

Turquoise card with watercolor designer paper.

A large diecut flower accent held in place with 3D foam tape.

A Stampin Up Modern Label and Word Window greeting in the bottom right hand corner.

Thanks to the young locksmith K who came on a Sunday night.   There is still good in the world.

Christmas Thank Yous

I got my Christmas thank you cards made.  I used gift wrap used on one of Mom & Dad's gifts.  Beautiful green background with white boughs and vanilla pine cones. I chose vanilla cards.

I cut the gift wrap paper to 4.00 x 5.25 inches and taped it to the front of the card.

I then cut a ribbon slider with Spellbinder slider set.  I printed thank you greetings and punched them with the 2 inch oval punch.  I adhered them to the front of the green sliders.

I added red cotton ribbon and trimmed the ends.  I taped them to the back of the slider so they would not move.  I added 3D foam tape to the slide and adhered it to the card front.
On the wide ones I put plaid ribbon instead.

I am very blessed and it was good to have company instead of gifts in some cases.  I just need to spread out it a little more.

CCE and Compassion House Cards

I am getting caught up on cards I owe before the end of the summer.

I started double sided paper - Sapphire Collection - Color Ways -  Paper House.  Not all double sided paper works for DSP Splits so I made this new designer for me.

I chose a navy card base.

I cut the DSP to 3.75 x 5 inches.  Then cut again at 2" in both directions.  I was able to just adhere the pieces leaving a small border.

I adhered an oval greeting with a blue oval of the same as the card color and a color printed greeting.  These were adhered together then adhered to the card with 3D foam tape.

For the card on the right I chose an all occasion theme. The accent is a white circle on the blue oval with a yellow handmade paper flower held in place with a silver flower sequin on a silver tiny brad.

These are on their way to my card partners with my apologies.

Most of this paper lent itself to tall cards but with the last piece I was able to cut it so I could make a wide card.

This card will go to Compassion House for their need of Thank You cards.

I placed a Stampin Up Modern Label with a stamped greeting on the large navy oval.

These were mounted with 3D foam tape.

Card Club - Sept - 4 inch Square

This is based on a design I used this summer.

I cut a 4 inch square of designer paper.  I ripped it in approximately half. Then I ripped the edge with the white showing again to remove the white and leave a bit of space in between.  I then adhered these offset from each in the top left and bottom right hand corners of the turquoise card.

The greeting is color printed on white cardstock and then punched with the 2" oval punch.  I cut the oval scalloped layer with one of the Spellbinder Nestabilities.  These are adhered together then this layer is adhered to the card front overlapping the layers of designer paper.

I am offering greetings for several occasions in this design as well as several colors.

Card Club - February - DSP Split

This is a classic Designer Paper Split.  I chose paper by Authentique - Remembrance - Remembrance Three which had an ivory background and a rich green and purple mosaic pattern.

I cut the sheet of 12x12 paper into rectangles 5.25 x 4.00 inches.  Then I cut them again at 3.5 inches.  I flipped the larger piece to reveal the stripes.  I then taped these back together on the back.

I added a length of ivory grosgrain ribbon across the join and taped the ends to the back.

This layer was adhered to the front of a green card leaving a small border.

The greeting was color printed then punched with a large 2 inch oval punch.  It was adhered over the ribbon with 3D foam tape.

2016 Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

I'm back into joining challenges now that I am done with craft sales for this season.

I lost the link to this challenge when Blogger made their changes in September.  It's been a challenge to say the least to try and remember what I had save over the years.  I found it just in time.

I found this image on Vintage Cup blog.  I love it so I downloaded it, added a copper border and I printed it onto photo paper.  I trimmed it close to the border.
I then selected card stock in a coordinating copper color.  I trimmed that to leave a small border and  embossed it with the Sizzix D'vine Swirl embossing folder. I adhered it to the front of a coordinating purple card.
I chose a greeting I designed myself and colored with the purple and copper.  Once printed, I punched it out with the 2" oval punch.  The greeting was adhered to the card front with 3D foam tape.  I mounted it below the negative space in the tea image.

Sympathy Cards - DSP Split

I made sympathy cards for ladies whose Dad passed away recently and the funeral is today.

It's basic designer paper split.  DSP cut to 4.00x5.25 then cut again at 3.5 inches. The smaller paper turned over and taped back together.  I placed a piece of pink seam binding across the join and taped end to the back.  The layer was attached to the pink card front.  The greeting was color printed the punched with the a Large Oval punch then mounted to the card front with 3D foam tape.

I had this set of sympathy cards in reserve so those are going to his companion.

Nifty Notes will be included with the sympathy card for the girls.

Winter Wishes

Getting caught up on posting cards made in the flurry of the last few weeks.
This is my own decorative paper made with the Stampin Up! Harlequin Diamond background stamp. I dipped it in wet reinker in the green pink variations, then stamped it on white card stock.  I added a green grosgrain ribbon across the bottom third.  I created the greeting with a color printed sentiment punched with the large oval then layered onto the SU Decorative Label punch. This all adhered to the deep pink card.
