Card Club Kit - Set 3 - Card 1

I trimmed the greeting layer to 3.75 x 5.00 inches.  The banner where the greeting is silver foil with a black border but when scanned it appears black.  I glued the greeting to the front of black card.

I used a push pin to create holes in the four corners of the greeting through the card front.  I place a small handmade paper flower onto a tiny pewter brad, pushed the prongs through the holes and pressed the prongs apart on the inside of the card.

Cards - Christmas for Girls

Here's another card for the girl at work.  Same sketch as previous but in a monochromatic color scheme.  I cut the Tim Holtz Cabinet die from Figgy Pudding by Basic Grey.  I selected a warm grey card.  I embossed the vellum with the Cuttlebug Victorian folder.  I placed white silk poinsettias in 2 different sizes and a small white silk in the centre and held them all in place with a pewter flower brad. I wrapped the white organza around the two layers and tied a knot on the left.  Punched the green color printed greeting with the Stampin Up! Artisan Label punch and added a small bling rhinestone above the Merry.  Punched another from silver card stock and cut it in half width wise and offset the onto the back of the greeting.

Earth Card Making - Shopping Bag Flowers

We are having an Earth Day Card Making fundraiser today at work. Our committee decided with it being just around the corner why not see what crafts we could make with the theme reuse/recycle/reduce.  I found shopping bag flowers in my search and applied my twist to it. Check out this post Shopping Bag Flowers  for how tos.
For this card, I cut several flowers in coordinating colors with Sizzix Large Daisie die.  I created the leaf with a Sizzix Flower Layers #2 using largest flower then cutting petals into 4 leaves. I went searching for a background for my flower.  Into my Cricut cartridges I found this one with the perfect ratio for an A2 card in the "Just Because Cards" cartridge.  I cut it from distress black designer paper.  I color printed my greetings then cut them with my Creative Memories oval cutter and it fits perfectly in the space on the background.  I punched a 1" circle of vellum for the centre of the flower and held the flowers in place with a flower pewter brad.  Super happy with this idea.
