Simple Sentiments - Thank You

I decided to add a few Simple Sentiments cards to the donation of Thank You cards.

These are created with some of my photos from photo calendars from other years.

This is a mosaic of a woman's face surrounded by green foliage.  The 4x6 photo was cut with the Sizzix Square Thinlits to 3 7/8 square.

The sentiment was printed onto the card base and the photo was adhered above it.

Quick and simple card making and great for a quick thank you.

I am adding these to the box of cards.

Share Your Cup #209

Sunflower Tile Framed

You will see my original plan on this post.  I was not able to get the existing tile from the frame so I just purchased another frame.

I removed the print and glass from this one.  I painted the back board with Blue Velvet acrylic paint so that the tiny gap between the tile and frame would not show.  I also painted the edge of the tile with the same paint.  I then dry brushed the same paint onto the frame to create a distressed look.

I am happy with how it turned out and it is hanging in my kitchen.

I have had the small blue saucers and the large plates for quite a while.

Yesterday, I found salad plates and cups to match.  I was very happy.  They will allow me to create tablescapes with more pieces. They work very well with my Myott The Hunter salad plates which are just a bit smaller.  The white plate with scallop edge is IKEA.

Here is a few flower shots taken after completing my photo shoot for the 2017 Tea Calendar.  I had gathered flowers for the calendar shoot and when I was done with that process I said to myself  "I should take some shots of these lovely flowers."  So I did.  A white aster, a pink rose and a deep raspberry zinnia.

Macro Monday 2 - Blossoms

I found several blossoms on my walks this week. The lilacs are just starting open up. It seems early for them to be blooming.  I did not detect their fragrance so I will have to check back later.

This is a white Zinnia on a wreath placed at the Grant Notley Park’s Broken Families Obelisk during a memorial service for the annual Day of Mourning held April 28th.

This is an bud of a flower I found on my walk the other day.  There was one partially open.  After doing some research I think it is a Clematis.

The community garden has a plot with these tulips and daffodils in full bloom. It was a real delight to see them.

Sharing these at Macro Monday 2.

Card - HB - Zinnia

Here's a card for my sister who celebrates her birthday this month.  I selected a photo of a zinnia I took a while ago.  I applied a couple of filters to it and printed it 3x4 inches.  I created a frame which I printed then adhered the print inside.  I found a dark green card which worked well.  I added a green layer of designer paper which I had stamped a texture in dark green.  That picked up some of the colors in the photo.  Once the background layer and the print layer were attached I went through my stack of greetings and found one that would work. Some Stampin Up Modern Label and Word Window punchies.
I need to get in out in the mail right away.
