Bright Colors Birthday

I made this card for someone celebrating a birthday this month.  I chose a Kelly green card based on the ink background decorative paper I selected which featured yellows and green.  I cut the background paper to leave a medium border around the edge of the card and adhered it to the card front.  I stamped the Watercolor Daisy from Hampton Art in Paprika Versacolor ink on vellum and clear embossed it.  I ripped both sides then placed it on the front of the card, folded the ends to the inside and taped them down to the inside of the card.  I put a mini yellow brad in the center of the flower by making a hole with a push pin, inserting the prongs through and pressing them apart on the inside of the card.  I added a Stampin Up Word Window sentiment in green.  The word is from a small clear stamp set I bought at Michaels a long time ago.

Card - Challenge #21 - Stitching

I made this card for the CST Challenge.  This week it was stitching.  I started with a white card and added a square of designer paper.  I added a white flower and a coordinating button in the centre held in place with a Zot.  I used a white marker to create the stitching then added blue dots with a marker.  Stamped greeting in blue ink.

Cards - Maple Leaf

We are having such great fall weather. It's Thanksgiving weekend! I hope you have a great one.

I started with a chocolate textured card. I selected a great copper metallic ribbon. I stamped a Magenta maple leaf in Chocolate Chip on orange paper. Ripped the paper to fit the corner and smudged the edges with the ink pad. I embossed a couple of foliage squares with a Cuttlebug 2" folder onto the bottom edge of the card. Added the ribbon along the folded edge. The scan does not do the ribbon justice.
