I made this card for a friend who celebrated a birthday recently and I'm seeing her today.
I started with the Stampin Up Winter Bright DSP, which I chose the strips. I then cut a layer of Bashful Blue textured and adhered it to the card front. I then adhered the 3.25" square piece of DSP to the top half of the layer. I cut a flower from Pretty in Pink with the Blossom Party die. I cut a butterfly from Bashful Blue and layered it onto the flower. I stamped the sentiment from the Perfect Punches stamp set in Garden Green on Whisper White. I cut it out by hand because my extra large oval punch has stopped punching. I mounted it to the card front with 3D foam tape.

Some More Cards from Decorative Paper
Some more cards from Decorative Paper I have made recently. This is an alcohol ink background in reds, oranges and purples.
I cut the greeting with Stampin Up Little Letters framelits from white card stock layer. I then cut tropical flowers with the SU Flower Fair framelit set. They remind me of hibiscus flowers. I used the larger die to create the 2 holes in the white layer then cut the resulting positive shape with a smaller framelit. I used a deep red marker with a fine nib to create a dot shadow around the hole. Once the colored layer was adhered to the magenta purple card front, I adhered the white layer to the colored one. I then adhered the 2nd white flowers in the center of the holes cut.
Another alcohol ink background. I sure love these vibrant colors. I stamped the white layer with a SU Itty Bitty Background stamp in deep blue. I cut the greeting with the Memory Box Grand Happy Birthday die from the decorative paper. I aligned the bottoms edges leaving a small border. I cut the butterfly with the Sizzix Winged Beauties Thinlits set from the same paper.
I cut the Acrylic Paint Decorative Paper with the Cricut and the Just Because Cards cartridge. It was cut at 6". It was adhered to the card front. I tucked a color printed oval greeting in the lower crescent. I layered several silk flowers starting with a large white with yellow ends, then a white medium then a blue purple one which repeats the colors in the DP. I added some green silk leaves and held all these layers in place with a tiny white brad.
This decorative paper was created with spritzing re-inker ink with a small mister spray bottle. I selected two warm orange silk flowers, then a green handmade paper flower then then a white silk smaller flower all held in place with a blue mini brad. I added a strip of coordinating strip of card stock across the bottom third of the card. I then added a bright greeting coordinating with the colors in the DP. I added a color printed oval greeting cut with the CM oval cutter.
This is the same decorative paper as the previous card. I cut it with the Sizzix Tim Holtz Vintage Cabinet Card die. This layer was adhered to a golden yellow card. I layered a large silk flower, then 3 from the Sizzix Flower Layers and Leaves die in warm green and golden yellow. I selected a golden yellow mini brad and placed a white sequin then the card stock flowers then the silk then onto the card front. I designed the greeting, color printed in black on vellum then clear embossed it.
This is a layer of Acrylic Paint decorative paper in blues and purples. I cut a flower from vellum to match the greeting. The white felt flower was cut with the SU Blossom Party original die as well as the purple slim petal one. I added a tiny iridescent sequin onto a tiny white sequin then layered the flowers. This was adhered to the card front once the decorative paper had been glued to the card front of a purple card. I designed the greetings and printed them on vellum. I adhered the vellum greeting to the card front with vellum adhesive. It was printed in black and clear embossed. They look great!
These cards are a line of cards I've designed with unique decorative paper I design regularly. I've named the line Unique Cards. These are for sale in a gallery. Check the tab at the top of the blog.

Invitations - Wedding Invitations
I prepared these cards as samples for wedding invitations for a friend who is getting married later this summer.
The card base is white with a embossed white layer done with the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder. I wrapped a piece of wide white organza ribbon toward the bottom of the layer leaving room for the lattice die and taped the ends to the back. The lattice die was cut from aqua glossy card stock. It was cut with the Stampin Up Lattice Die. I placed a white felt flower cut with the SU Blossom Party Bigz die. The small flower in the center was punched with a small punch in the same aqua card stock. These layers are held in place with a tiny white brad through all the layers to the card front. I added some diamond shaped aqua pieces left over from the die cutting. They are held in place with Zots.
The second one was a card with a top fold. I placed a white doily on the card front and folded the extra to the inside of the card. I cut a piece of vellum with the smooth circle Spellbinder Nestabilities which was adhered to the centre of the doily. I then punched 2 hearts from white card stock with the Stampin Up Sweetheart punch. They were embossed with the Sizzix Tropical Paisley embossing folder. The one in front was adhered with 3D foam tape. I added a piece of turquoise baker's twine wrapped around the card front above the doily.
I will post the one she selected a little later once her guests have received theirs.

Card - 2nd Retirement
I made this card for a couple who are now taking their 2nd retirement after working at Camp for the last few years.
I chose DSP from G.C.D. Studios named Bora Bora from the Debonair collection. It's a green brown color so I chose a kraft colored card. I cut the paper to just enough to leave a border and then cut it where the pattern was being the least affected. I turned the small piece over and tape them together on the back. I added a kraft ribbon and tape the ends to the back. I adhered to the card front then added an ivory felt flower cut with the Blossom Party Stampin' Up! Originals Die. I cut a coordinating flower from the same set in gold and mounted that to the centre. It is all held in place with a gold brad.

R2G Card Kit - DSP Split with Felt Flower
I made these kits after my class yesterday with a similar layout. This time I changed up the double sided designer paper and made it Stampin Up! Certainly Celery with a variety of card colors.
The DSP is cut to 5.25x4" then cut again at 3.25" and the small piece is turned over. The 2 pieces are tape back together. I wrapped a piece of white grosgrain ribbon across the join and tape the ends to the back. I added a felt flower and card stock flower matching the card cut with the Blossom Party Stampin' Up! Originals Die. I added a small white sequin flower and held in all together with a tiny white brad put through a hole made with a push pin. These are Pretty in Pink and Perfect Plum.

The other kit is Not Quite Navy and Groovy Guava.

All Occasion Stack Class - DSP Split with Felt Flower
For this card I selected double sided designer paper in the same color as the card. In this card Stampin Up Baja Breeze from the print sampler on the same colored card. I cut the 4.00" x 5.25" paper at 3.25" and flipped the small piece over. These pieces were taped on the back so the piece was again the same size leaving a small border. I wrapped a piece of wide white grosgrain ribbon over the join and taped the ends to the back. This layer was then glued to the card front. I cut the flower element with the Blossom Party Stampin' Up! Originals Die. I cut the largest flower from white felt. The smaller one was cut from the same colored card stock as the card. I added a small white flower sequin on the tiny white brad then placed the prongs through a hole made with a push pin. The prongs are spread apart on the inside of the card.
The colors in this kit are Night of Navy, Certainly Celery, Riding Hood Red and Baja Breeze.
