Sympathy Card

I made this card for my friend who lost her Dad a week ago.

I have recycled a commercial card front into this 5x7 A7 large card.

I trimmed the commercial card on both sides.  I trimmed extra on the right because there was some pink which I wanted to remove. With only the purple left I chose a purple card to coordinate. Purple is her favorite color so that should be appreciated.

Now I had to add a bit of cardstock on the right to make an even border.  I cut a strip from the back of the card and cut it with my Deckle Edge scissors. I taped the edge to the straight edge with tape.   I added a length of purple satin ribbon over the join and tape the ends to the back of the layer.  It was adhered to the card front.

I added iridescent sequins to the card front with Bling Zots. It will be on it's way tomorrow.

Note Cards - Wonderful Wings

This is a stash busting opportunity.  Pulling 4" wide remnants of designer paper are pulled from the stash.

I cut the piece of designer paper from Fancy Pants - Summer Soiree - Beach House by Michelle Coleman with wavy decorative scissors.  It was placed in a wide landscape orientation on a yellow card. I produced the butterfly accent with Stampin Up Wonderful Wings stamp set in Blue Bayou on Whisper White card stock. It was then punched out with the Decorative Label punch. The accent is adhered over the split in the designer paper with 3D foam tape.

On this card, the same layout and butterfly on a decorative label punchie.  The designer paper is warm in tone with flowers and circles.  I selected white card for this paper.

On this card, the same layout and butterfly on a decorative label punchie.  The designer paper is warm in tone in soft watercolor pattern.  I selected warm blue card for this paper.  The butterfly accent has no frame.

On this card I chose Stampin Up Brillant Blue for the butterfly accent.  The card is white, the designer paper is ripped and the orientation is tall portrait.

R2G Card Kit - Bethlehem Star - Copper

I'm working on Ready 2 Go kits so I've made card kits with the same sketch I used in my November Card Club.  Changed the paper and star color.
I selected some bold striped handmade paper for the background. I cut a 1.5" strip of purple card stock and trimmed the edges with scallop decorative scissors. This is glued to the decorative paper as shown and trimmed to the same width as the striped paper. The greeting was glued on on top and trimmed as needed. This layer is glue onto a black card front.  The copper star (Sizzix) is 3D foam taped to the left of the greeting.

All Occasion Stack Class - Flower & Vellum

These cards feature printed vellum. I placed a rectangle of printed vellum to fit the bottom 2/3 of the card. Place the adhesive at the very top of the vellum so it will be hidden when you glue the cardstock strip over it. I used decorative scissors on the lower edge of the strip but it could have been ripped or border punched as well. I layered the small white flower, the vellum, then cardstock 5 petal punchies. I placed them onto the card and with the card open placed it on an old mouse pad and used a push pin to create the hole through all layers and inserted the tiny brad. A greeting could be added on the strip or beside the flower.
