Cards - Exchange - June

I chose the theme of pink and gold for my card exchange this month.

I chose a white A2 card base with a portrait orientation.

I added a pink textured layer which was embossed with the Stampin Up Subtle 3D folder.  I asked permission to use it before I delivered it to her last month.  Very nice folder.

I chose a piece of white with foil stars decorative paper and adhered it to the pink layer.  I then punched a slot on the left and right hand side with the Stampin Up slot punch.  I pulled the white grosgrain ribbon through both and tied in on the front. Trimmed both ends.

I added a couple of gold star punchies and a pink handmade paper flower adorned with a gold flower sequin and attached with a gold star tiny brad.

I added a Stampin Up Modern Label punchie greeting color printed in pink, adhered with 3D foam tape.

I followed most of the supplies from the first one.

Started with a white card base A2 and put it in the landscape orientation this time.

Same treatment of the pink layer.

Added the ribbon and taped the ends to the back of the pink layer.

I added the gold foil star decorative layer over the ribbon onto the pink layer.  The trimmed piece of grosgrain ribbon I adhered behind the gold star layer and trimmed the ends.

I added the Modern Label greeting with 3D foam tape above the bit of ribbon.

I adhered 3 small gold confetti below the ribbon with Bling Zots.

These are off to my partners.

Card Club - March - HB Initials

It's time for Card Club again.
This card features a set of large initials. The ivory panel already had the turquoise and grey vine pattern on the left. I repeated these colors with grey in the initials and turquoise in the greeting and printed it onto the right hand side. I adhered the panel to the front of a turquoise card. Then, I have added three handmade paper flowers with each having a turquoise sequin in the center held in place with a blue tiny brad.  I placed them somewhat randomly.

Greeting Card Gift Sets - Portfolio

I'm working on inventory for my sale next weekend.

I designed a new portfolio for selling these gifts sets.  The advantage to the old packaging is that you can see all the cards and it stands on it own so may not need a container on the craft table. The front has a small label at the bottom identifying the set and the back holds the credits.  The inside shows both cards.  I used a 6x10 cellophane where I add the 2 labels and a piece of bond between the 2 sets.  I seal the cellophane then punch holes in the center with a long reach punch through the cellophane and the bond paper. The provides strength to the ribbon feature. I string a piece of satin ribbon through the holes from the back to the inside and back to the outside and knot and trim the ribbon ends.

Happy with this system.

I'm refurbishing some of my cards which have been returned to me or were samples for classes that did not run or some other reason the cards were set aside.  I've added a piece of card stock or whatever else is needed.  This set features watercolored graphics glued to handmade paper then onto card stock.

This set features paintings of my own.  The green white lily and the birch trees are paintings I have scanned and printed on the card fronts.

The flowers are from Dover Clipart collection.  The hyacinth and the lily are great flowers for this time of year.

Card Club - October - Oval Tag

It's time for Card Club again.  For this card I started with a turquoise card and added a Stampin Up  Pretty Print embossing folder.  This was adhered to the card front.  I then aligned the largest flower and the tag to the card front and made a hole through to the card front with a push pin. Then I placed the small, medium and large flowers onto the brad and put it through the hole I made and pressed the prongs apart on the inside of the card.  I then aligned the 3 small flowers on the right hand side and again made holes with the push pin. I place the flower sequin and the flower onto the brad and push them through the card front and pressed the prongs apart on the inside of the card.  And repeated the process for the remaining flowers.

Challenge - Off the Edge & C4C187

I started with a heavy white card which I splattered with Kiwi Kiss ink on a wet foam brush.  I dried it with a heat gun.  I had colored the large middle HMP flower with the same Kiwi Kiss ink and dried it with the heat gun.  I inked up the Stampin Up Print Pattern background stamp with an old somewhat dry stamp pad.  I stamped it off the edge of the top of the card and got this subtle diamond shapes.  I really like it.  I stamped the SU Happy Birthday greeting 3 times across the bottom again going off the edge of the card.  I stitched the flowers onto the card front with crochet cotton through the cute yellow buttons I put in the centre of the flowers.   I'm submitting this card in the Come and Get Card Challenge - Off the edge and Crazy 4 Cards Challenges - no patterned paper C4C187.

R2G Card Kit - HMP Flower Trio

I started with the HMP Flowers.  I choose a coordinating color for the card.  I added a designer paper piece to which I glued a silver scallop border die cut made with Die-namics die.  The greeting was color printed and cut with a QuicKutz oval die. I rubbed the edges with teal ink pad. I opened the card flat and evenly spaced the flowers below the scallop border. I added the small silver flowers and used a push pin to create the hole for the brads through the card front.  Placed the brads and pressed the prongs apart on the inside of the card.
