GG - Polar Bear

This card only had slight changes from the Greetings Galore class in November 2010
I used some textured Royal Blue card stock instead of Bashful Blue.  I splattered the card stock with Radiant Rain - Pearl Green in the same technique as in the earlier card in this set.  The Polar Bear was cut with  my Cricut - Joy of the Season cartridge.  The star is a small punch.  The snowbank was cut with my Creative Memories wavy cutter.  Very classic card and popular.  I had several orders for some of these card kits.

GG - Snowflake Trio

This was changed only a little bit from the Greetings Galore Class from Nov 2010.  I used the Cuttlebug Snowflake embossing folder instead of the Devine Swirl.  I also wrapped the ribbon around the embossed layer instead of the whole card. Once the layer is embossed I adhered a strip of smooth white then placed the ribbon to cover the top and bottom edge of this strip.  I taped the ribbon ends to the back of the embossed layer. Glued the embossed layer to my card. I placed my royal blue snowflake confetti and used a push pin to create a hole through the snowflake, the smooth strip, the embossed layer and the card front.  I place the tiny silver brad through the hole and spread the prongs on the inside of the card.  This will help to hold all the elements in place.  The insert will hide the brad prongs.

GG - Button Trio

This is an update from my Greetings Galore Nov 2010 Class.
I am still using Stampin Up! Designer Paper from the same collection but a different sheet. I did not have more ribbon so I created my greeting and color printed it instead.  Works I think.  The DP is cut to 4x5.25 then cut at 1.5" leaving 2.5 of the 4".  The one piece is turned over to reveal the other side.  These are butted together and glued down.  The greeting is glued to cover the joint.  The three buttons are adhered on the bottom right hand corner with Zots.

GG - Gold Joy

I updated these cards from my Greetings Galore (GG) Nov 2010 class since a few ladies requested kits.
I created some decorative paper using card stock and Radiant Rain - Egyptian Gold.  I used purple, navy and black card stock. I found the spray bottle clogged a lot so I just poured some liquid from the bottle onto a plate, dipped a toothbrush and ran it across a butter knife to splatter my card stock.  Once dry, I cut my card stock piece down to 2"x5.25" and glued it to the left hand side of my card. I cut my letters from gold embossed paper with my Sizzix Shadow Box Alphabet and glued those over the decorative paper.  I then embossed the right hand side of the card with the Sizzix Stars & Swirls folder.

GG - Irridescent 3D Snowflake

The design depends on having double sided paper. I selected Stampin UP! designer paper. The colors are Bayou Blue and Soft Sky. Any double sided paper would create a different looking card.
The 3D snowflake was purchased as an ornament. I cut off the hanger circle from the top with sharp pliers. I cut a piece of DP 4"x5.25" then cut at 1" from the bottom. This is double sided paper so I turned over the 1" piece. These were glued to the card front. I placed the ribbon over the join of two papers. I created a slit in the fold and pulled the ribbon through and scotch taped the 2 ends to the inside of the card front. I glued the color printed greeting below the ribbon on the right hand side. I cut the scalloped circle with Spellbinder Classic Nestabilities thin die in card stock same as the card. Remove the release paper from the Zot on the back of the snowflake and place in the centre of the scalloped circle.
I made 10 cards for my stash.
Total Cards: 48

GG - Glitter Ornament

This is a versatile design because you can change the colored card stock and/or the glittered ornament color to quickly create a variety in your cards. I matched the card with the color of the glittered ornament.
The ornament was cut with a Cuttlebug 2" die. The colored snowflake is one from Martha Steward which fits into the ornament perfectly. The colored layer was edged with an EK Success border punch. I stamped the greeting in Versafine Onyx ink with a clear stamp in the top left hand corner of the colored cardstock. I glued the colored layer to the card front. I then layered the snowflake, the ornament and placed them onto the card. Used a push pin to create the hole for the brad through all layers. I pulled the ribbon through the circle on the hanger at the top of the ornament. I added a bit of glue to the back of the hanger and placed the brad into the hole and spread the prongs to the inside of the card. Trim the ribbon ends as needed.

GG - Kraft Christmas Tree

This design was based on the circle greeting 3D stickers I had purchased. It was a challenge to find paper to match them.
I created a snowflake background and color printed it on parchment bond paper. It has a rectangle frame to highlight the tree. The tree was die cut with the Sizzix Christmas Tree #2 in Kraft card stock. The snowbank was cut from silver foil paper with the Creative Memories wavy cutter. Glue the tree to the card front leaving room above for the star. Glue the snowbank to bottom of the card below the tree. Trim the silver paper to the card edges. Remove the release paper from the circle greeting and place the 3D in the top right hand corner. Remove the release paper from the Zot on the silver star sequin and place at the top of the tree.

GG - Christmas Wreath

Here are the cards for the Glorious Greetings class. I've included the 2 color options I offered. I sometimes have extra stack class kits available so if you are in the Edmonton area send me an email.

The wreath was cut with the Cricut - Joy of the Season cartridge at 3.5". I cut the layer out of green watercolored scrapbook paper. Those get glued on every other leaf cluster. Just find the ones that match. The greeting was cut with a QuicKutz nested oval thin dies. Glue the greeting to the colored oval. Tie a bow in the red and green plaid ribbon. Glue the gold or silver metallic paper to the card front. Adhere the ribbon bow to the top of the wreath with double sided tape or hot glue. Glue the greeting below the wreath. Fold the insert with the Christmas sentiment in half, place it inside the card with the fold tuck into the card fold. Lift the card front, place glue on the insert along the fold and press down the card front.

GG - Christmas - Buttons

I held my Greetings Galore - Christmas Stack class at the library today! It was a great class. Many great cards were made with the same supplies and a little imagination.
With this set of cards I used a Stampin Up! Christmas double sided decorative paper. It is very versatile and contributes to a good variety of cards with the same supplies. I used Real Red, Very Vanilla and Always Artichoke card stock. The Merry Christmas ribbon was purchased at Michaels a couple of years ago. It makes adding a sentiment real easy.

I made 10 cards today.

Total so far: 123

GG - Christmas - Polar Bear

Isn't he a cute polar bear? It was cut with the Create Cricut - Joy of Season cartridge. It allows you to cut the scarf seperately in a different color. The top snowbank was cut with the CM Wavy Cutter and the bottom was just ripped. In the class today, I used a marker to add the black nose on the bottom one which really helped. I glued the snowbank then trimmed it to the bottom of the card. The bear was placed ensuring that some blue can be seen to define his legs against the snowbank. A small yellow star punchie was added to the opposite corner. One of the girls today glued him facing the opposite way and the scarf worked as well which adds to the options.

GG - Christmas - Sequin Snowflakes

With the basic same supplies a variety of cards were made today.
The left has a Cuttlebug Devine Swirl embossed layer with 3 royal blue snowflake sequins placed over a white strip and held in place with tiny silver brads. Ribbon was added to above and below the snowflakes.

The right one has a Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossed layer. A color printed greeting strip was placed at the 3/4 level and glued in place. The 3 snowflake sequins were added with the tiny silver brads. The ribbon was placed just off the side fold and glued to the inside of the card. A small piece of ribbon was knotted onto the long piece. This works really well and is very easy to do and looks great. 2 great looks!

GG - Christmas - JOY

I selected green and red cardstock and ribbon. I added gold die cut letters to say "JOY". The fold is on the top. The decorative paper was trimmed to fit beside the embossing and the ribbon was placed between them. A slit was placed in the fold to pull the ribbon through and was taped to the inside of the card. The gold letters were glued over the decorative paper. On the bottom sample I left out the decorative paper and used the red ribbon to contrast. I laid the card sideways and had my greeting going across instead of up and down.
