Gold Glitter Sunburst
I managed to cut the Stampin Up Sunburst Thinlit die from something other than yellow card stock. It`s gold glitter so it was not too much of a stretch. I placed it on it`s side so it does not look so much as a sun, which helps. This is a birthday card for a young lady who is growing up quickly. I started with a white card. I added a layer of purple which was adhered to the card front. I adhered the gold glitter sunburst die onto the card front and trimmed the rays to the card edge. I added a sentiment made up of a Spellbinder Nestabilities scallop circle No.2 from the center of the large set cut from hot pink and a color printed greeting which coordinates.

Christmas - Use Your Stash
I made this card with pieces from my stash. The strip of designer paper, I think is by Basic Grey. It combines the dill color and the brighter citron green color. I chose textured card stock in a citron color for the card which works with the darker green. I cut the trees with the Tree Art Stamp & Die set by Hampton Art from a scrap of dill card stock. I've owned this die for a few years and this is the first time using it from my stash. I stamped them with a spatter stamp in dark green ink. I embossed the middle one with a Cuttlebug Friends Forever embossing folder which mimics the design in the decorative paper. I printed the greeting in red on white card stock. I ripped the bottom edge and adhered it to the card front. The next layer was the designer paper. Then came the three trees. Submitting to challenge at Holly Jolly - Use your stash.

Card Club - Feb - HB Masculine Plaid

I started with the plaid DSP on this card. I selected the yellow layer based on the paper. I cut the layer to 4 x 5.25" as usual. I cut the paper with the Memory Box Grand Happy Birthday thin die. See notes below on alignment. The yellow layer was glued to the card front. I left the happy with no glue. I then glued the designer paper which was cut to 5 x 1.5" below the greeting. I punched 2 holes through all layers of the card front with a 1/8" circle punch. I pulled the ribbon through and knotted it. Trimmed the ribbons ends. The contrast between the solids really makes the sentiment pop.
I made kits with green, brown or navy cards to give some variety and the DSP provided lots of choices. These make great cards for guys.

Card Club - Sept - Flip Card
A flip card this time, cut with the Sizzix Royal Flip-It Card Thinlits. I started with a yellow card and then cut the layers in blue floral designer paper. For the central accent I cut the next layer in a orange card stock. Then the greeting was stamped in the center oval of the next layer. It is automatically embossed when cut.

For the class I printed the greetings then cut them because the oval in the die allows for perfect placement.

Card - New Merry Christmas Die
I bought this die yesterday hot off the press! I went looking for samples but it's too new, so here's mine.
I started with cutting the Memory Box Grand Merry Christmas Script die in turquoise. I cut the branch with the Tim Holtz Bird Branch Bigz die in the same brown as the card. I layered it onto the blue and trimmed the edges. I layered it onto a white piece that left a small border of the brown card. I cut the MB Resting Birds die in red card stock a couple of times. It cuts 5 small birds at a time. I placed the birds around the card as I wanted. Love the card.

Card Club - Jan - Top Note HB
Here's a great card for a guy having a birthday! I started with a black card. I cut a Stampin Up! Top Note from designer paper. I cut the larger oval from a red card stock with Spellbinder Nestabilities. Then a smaller oval in a ivory color. The greeting was cut with Dee's Distinctively HB thin die from the card stock as the card. I offset Happy to leave room for the ribbon. I cut a length of grosgrain ribbon in black and placed on the top left hand corner and held it in place with an ivory brad. This element was then added to the card front with 3D foam tape.
In all the kits the large oval provides a pop of color and the ribbon and brads coordinate.
