R2G Card Kit - Gold Tags

I started with the gold ornament tags.  I found blue cards that coordinated well.  I chose a pale yellow layer which I embossed with the Cuttlebug Victoria folder.  It was cut to leave a small border.  I wrapped a seam binding in warm dark blue from top to bottom and taped the ends to the back.  The embossed layer was then adhered to the card front.  The large gold ornament tag was then adhered to the card front with 3D foam tape.  A quick card in soft warm colors.

60th Wedding Anniversary - Wow!

What a milestone!  My Mom and Dad will have been married 60 years in a few days.  We are having a celebration. I made this card for them.

It's the diamond anniversary so I chose a white on white theme. I started with a warm white card onto which I mounted a piece of pearl card stock with was embossed with the Cuttlebug Victorian embossing folder.  I trimmed it to leave a small border. I cut hearts with the Sizzix original red Hearts die from pearl card stock with a silver tone.  I left one plain and embossed the other with the Cuttlebug D'vine folder. I mounted them onto a rectangle of warm white card stock. This was adhered to the embossed layer.  I wrapped a piece of white seam binding around the whole piece and tied a knot on the front.  Trimmed the ends. I created the greeting by starting with one I found on line at Netty's Cards. I printed the greeting, placed a small circle in the centre and another larger one behind it.  This was all placed on a Stampin Up Scallop Circle. This was mounted to the card front with 3D foam tape.  I placed a large bling in the centre of it.

Cards - Christmas for Girls

Here's another card for the girl at work.  Same sketch as previous but in a monochromatic color scheme.  I cut the Tim Holtz Cabinet die from Figgy Pudding by Basic Grey.  I selected a warm grey card.  I embossed the vellum with the Cuttlebug Victorian folder.  I placed white silk poinsettias in 2 different sizes and a small white silk in the centre and held them all in place with a pewter flower brad. I wrapped the white organza around the two layers and tied a knot on the left.  Punched the green color printed greeting with the Stampin Up! Artisan Label punch and added a small bling rhinestone above the Merry.  Punched another from silver card stock and cut it in half width wise and offset the onto the back of the greeting.

Christmas Card Challenge - November - Ornaments

This month's Christmas Card Challenge is Accent of Ornament(s).
I chose the SB Heirloom Ornament Nestabilities.  I used the one which would work best on the card and cut it in white card stock.  I stamped the "Joy" greeting with a stamp by Rubber Stampede Posh Impressions in Versamark ink and embossed it with clear powder.  I water colored the ornament which highlighted the white embossed greeting, let it dry and pressed it to flatten it. I cut the ornament hanger in violet card stock with the Sizzix Ornament #2 die and glued it to the SB ornament.  I embossed the white background with the Cuttlebug Victorian folder.  I cut the green branch in a moss green with the MS Double Edge Pine Needles Trim punch. I adhered the ornament to the white background then I added some white pearl thread onto the hanger, ran it through the pine border the taped the ends to the back.  Adhered the pine border  to the embossed layer then glued this all to the card front.

Card - Christmas Pinwheel

More pinwheel cards, this time Christmas ones.  Here's the link to the original posting.  I used Always Artichoke DP with some red DP to create the pin wheel.  I mounted it on a white layer embossed with Victorian embossing layer onto Always Artichoke card.  I added a red gross grain ribbon across below the pinwheel.  I added the greeting created with the Modern Label with the Word Window punchies.  The greeting is stamped in black with a small clear stamp set.  I added a red button in the centre of the pinwheel with a Zot.
Always Artichoke card with Red with white layer. Chocolate Chip card with brown and beige DP and pink embossed layer.

Card - Wedding - White on White

I made this card for my nephew's wedding.
I decided on a white on white design.  I started with a white card. I cut a SU Oval Accent die cut.  Since it is really too big for an A2 card and I couldn't emboss it completely with the Cuttlebug Victorian folder I decided to trim it to the size I could emboss it.  I left a tab on the top to fold over to the inside of the card.  I then printed the sentiment on white card stock in Taken with Teal.  I cut it with one of the Framelits from the Apothecary set from Stampin Up! I added small iridescent flower sequins to the top and bottom bumps then mounted to the card front with 3D foam tape.

Card - Thank You Card Challenge

I created this card for a Thank You Card Challenge.  I started with the designer paper which I cut with the SU! Apothecary Framelits.  Based on the paper I selected an ivory card and a blue layer which I embossed with the Cuttlebug Victorian embossing folder which was adhered to the card front.  I stamped the greeting in blue with the SU! Sincere Salutations stamp set then cut it out with another of the SU! Apothecary Framelits. I rubbed the edges of both die cuts with the ink pad. Once the large die cut was glued to the embossed layer I added the navy blue gross grain ribbon going from top to bottom of the card. I added a slit in the top fold of the card which I cut with an Exacto-knife. I placed the smaller greeting diecut over the navy ribbon with 3D foam tape. I tied a short length of pink ribbon on the navy one just above the greeting.
