Card - Ribbon Slider

I made this card for friend whose granddaughter is celebrating a birthday soon.  I selected some designer paper and mounted it on a pink card.  I cut a Spell Binder ribbon slide in chocolate brown and placed it on the card on a silver 5/8" ribbon through a slit in the fold on the left hand side. Scotch taped the ends to the inside of the card. I color printed the greeting and cut it with  my Creative Memories oval cutter and glued it down onto the slider. I added a white silk flower with a metal on layered over all held in place with a tiny pink brad. I made an identical card with a Thanks greeting for my card box.

Were you one of the lucky ones to get a Spellbinder die at Michaels with a 50% coupon last week?  This set of 3 ribbon sliders was my choice.  They are great because they take 5/8" ribbon and my Cuttlebug sliders take 3/8" ribbon.

Christmas Card Stack - Ivory Star

This is Real Red card stock. I selected 2 different red/ivory Designer papers. I trimmed the decorative paper to leave a small border around the edge. I cut the star with the Sizzix #2 star die and the oval ribbon slider with the Cuttlebug die from pearl ivory card stock. I stamped the "Joy" greeting onto the sliders with red ink. I pulled the ribbon through the slider. Once I decided the location of the ribbon I placed a slit in the fold, pulled the ribbon through and taped both ends to either side of the inside of the card front. I glued the star above the greeting.

Simple Card - Red Pick Up Truck

Here's another simple card. This one has a Cuttlebug embossing folder that looks like a steel plate done in grey cardstock. The red pickup truck is color printed and cut out. The greeting accent was created with a Cuttlebug slider in black, a 1 1/8" red circle and a stamped greeting punched in 1" circle. This greeting came from a Michael's $1.50 clear stamp set but I've used it quite a bit. The accent is placed onto the ribbon and turned into the inside of the card then stapled into place.
