Gift Box of All Occasion Cards - Donation

I made a gift box of all occasion cards for an upcoming charity event.

I included 12 cards with white envelopes with blank inserts.  A few have greetings but most can be used for any occasion.

I started with a black card base.  I cut a 6 inch circle with my Creative Memories Cutter.  I then cut the circle in half.  I aligned the straight edge to the right hand side of the card and adhered it to the card front.  I trimmed the top and bottom of the half circle to the card edge.  I used the wonderful music designer paper.

I added a black die cut flower and then a metallic Prima and a small black die cut one.  These are held in place with a mini gold brad.

This is a similar card with the straight edge on the left hand side this time.

I aligned 9 handmade paper flowers by Prima in warm tones along the curved edge.  I alternated the colors from tan, ivory and a rosy taupe color.

They are held in place with a tiny copper brad with a small black sequin in the center.

This card features polka dot designer paper by Fancy Pants Designs - Like Father Like Son - Stud Muffin.
I ripped the right hand side of the designer paper then adhered the straight side to the left hand side of a forest green card.  I added a piece of celery grosgrain ribbon wrapped around the card front and knotted it.

I created the greeting accent with a warm green scalloped circle, topped with a 1.25 circle of the same color as the card, then a 1" circle stamped greeting in chocolate brown.

With the wonderful colors in this designer paper several options were possible for the car color.  Here I have selected a terra cotta colored card base.  I ripped both edges then adhered it to the card front.  I wrapped a piece of celery grosgrain ribbon across the front of the card and taped the ends on the inside of the card.

I created an accent with a scallop circle, then a blue smooth circle then 2 layered butterflies.  I held these pieces together with a white tiny brad. The accent was adhered to the card front with 3D foam tape.

Very similar cards with the half circles on the left edge then the right hand side.

An accent was created with silk and handmade paper flowers.  This is  held in place with a green mini brad.

I added a grey knitting ribbon wrapped around the card front and knotted on the front.  I added a few more from my stash to make a total of 12.

Simple Sentiments Gift Box - Retro

I made a set of Simple Sentiment cards which feature images from my Retro Calendar.

These designs were created with a filter in photo editing software.

I have a wide selection of images from flowers, plants, tea related images, nature and insects.

Some have no greeting and some have Thanks as the sentiment.

Several designs have duplicates in the set.

Photo Card Gift Box

I have put together a box set of photo cards for a prize at an upcoming charity event.

I chose 3 rural images which have been cut to 3.5 x 4.75 inches leaving a generous border.  They have been adhered to a heavyweight white A2 card.

The first is three heads of barley against a stormy sky.

Second, is a field which has been combined leaving windrows of straw behind.  Again, the sky is very expressive.

Third, a field of bales on rolling hills with a wonderful blue of water in the background.

I have packaged 12 cards (4 of 3 designs) in a 6x6 clear box with an information card stock insert.

The graphics and frames from the The Graphics Fairy.

This set features my photos from my photo calendars.  They have been trimmed from the calendar sheets and adhered to the card front above the greeting/graphic. A great re use idea.

Note Card & Encouragement Card Gift Sets

I made a couple of Note Card and Encouragement Card Gift sets today.

I created some new encouragement cards in the portrait orientation with some great art from Pixabay.  The hummingbird and mushroom ones are posted below.

These cards were included in these 2 gift sets along with some made with a landscape image from Maria (see image below) and some I designed a while back.

One of these will be given to a couple who is starting new roles.

This landscape was created by Maria S.  I used the image in black as well as I converted the image into sepia, artichoke, and navy.

Advent Calendar - Boxed

I've been working on another presentation for my Advent Calendar.  This provides a 6 x 6 inch clear box for it to be stored in every year which will reduce the wear and tear on the pages. A jute cord and pins are used to display all the cards a once. The crystal bead marker allows folks to track the count down to Christmas Day by moving it to the next pin every day.  The list of suggested Advent activities is included.

The left inset shows the calendar with all the parts in the box.
The right inset shows the marker on the pin for a given day

Here's a link to the other one in a frame.  Leave me a comment as to which one - frame or box is more appealing to you.  Looking forward to your feedback. Thanks.

The Advent Calendar Kit - Cards Only is available on my Calendar page.

O Holy Night Card Set

This set of card was made with a photo I took of the nativity set up in my office.   I created a purple gradient background onto which I placed a green frame.  Into the frame I inserted my photo.  I added the words O HOLY NIGHT in a ivory color.  It was printed on card stock and then I trimmed it.  I created a frame in a deep purple color onto an ivory card.  The nativity panel was adhered in the frame.

This set was packaged in a 6x6 clear box with a custom card stock spacer.

Burgundy Star Peace Card Set

This set of cards was created with digital graphics from Aria Sparkles and printed. I created a gradient background onto which the word was placed near the bottom.  I placed the star on the left tucking one point of the star into the word. The panel was trimmed.  I created a burgundy frame and printed it on Astroparche Natural card stock.  The panel was adhered to the card front aligned into the frame.

This set will be donated to an auction. They have been packaged in a 6x6 clear box with a custom spacer.

This was one of the projects I took to my sister's on the long weekend.  I had a great visit with her.

One Sheet Wonder 2 - 3 Cards

I made these cards following the cutting plan from my One Sheet Wonder 2 Template.
Since the plan makes 3 cards I chose 3 different colors of card stock from the DSP.  With the 2 inches strips cut, I chose an accent color, in this case turquoise.  Note: Your accent for card 1 needs to be designed to show well on the diagonal. I printed my accents on the neutral color card stock with the accent color with the Stampin Up Sweet Summer set.  Each card gets a half inch strip of the accent color.  On card one I cut that in half. On card two and three the DSP can be placed on the left or the right, top or bottom.  The accent is adhered to the card front with 3D foam tape.

The bottom photo is the cards in a clear box for a great look as they are a donation for an auction.

"Winter Glory" Card Set

These Christmas cards were created with laser printed panel cards of this winter landscape which I was given. They needed to be refurbished and re-purposed to be appreciated.  I decided to make them into cards for the Christmas season.  I cut down the panels leaving all the edges straight. Once I had the dimensions I create a grey rectangle leaving a small border from the edge of the image.  I added a greeting in the bottom right hand corner. This was printed on white card stock.  Once printed, the image was adhered to the card front.  An insert was added inside with the sentiment.  I think they turned out really nice.

Again, these are packaged in a clear box in a set of 20. They will be donated to the auction in the fall.
