Photo Coaster to Gallery

I made a few more sets of photo coasters.

This set is called Beautiful Butterflies.

I love the shadow captured on the fist one.

I made a set of 4 of the same image of this magnificent Bison at Elk Island.

I called this set Majestic.

It features Sunlit Mountains in Canmore, the Hoodoos in Drumheller, Niagara Falls and the large Oak Tree.

This set is called Winged Ones 2.

The beautiful rust colored in the top left, gorgeous large Blue Morph, a lovely Red Lady Bug on a green/silver leaf and Bumble Bee on purple globe flower.

Reception at the Gallery

It was the reception for the Abstraction Show and the Christmas Store last night. The set up for the store is much better this year with enough room for each vendor. The variety of products available includes jewelry, fused glass, wood slice ornaments, watercolors, crocheted items, wood burnt charcuterie boards, scented candles and so much more.

I delivered a couple more sets of photo coasters and some 4x6 calendars.

This set is called Nature Fire with sunlit Foxtail weed in the fall on the left and a Sunset shot on Jesse Lake with the cattail reeds in the front.

I did up a set of 4 of this Red Poppy!  It is gorgeous and would be perfect for a gardener or flower lover.

This is my latest presentation for my 4x6 calendars in hopes of giving customers the information they need to make their decision to buy one for someone's desk.

I placed the calendar in the black metal frame and then taped the index sheet to the base so the images will be readily seen.  We shall see if it works.  I brought 2 Nature and one Dewy Petals.

Attendance was less than expected but being a Saturday night there were conflicts with other activities including Christmas parties.  Hopefully they will drop by the gallery over the next couple of weeks.

I am working on more photo coasters as I have sold a couple already.

Photo Coasters - A couple more sets

I delivered my stuff to the Gallery this morning for the Christmas Store.  I managed a couple more photo coaster sets.

My single coasters are there too.

I also have my photo magnets and my Red Poppy 11x17 Poster Calendars in the store.

This Wild Ones set features wild animals - Tiger, Bison, Panda, and Zebra.

Another set of Pink Flowers featuring Rose, Peony, Ninebark, and Lilies.

Photo Coasters - Sets

This set was made with the Blue Bird art made my sister. You can find it here.

Photo Coasters - Singles

I have some photo coasters done for this year.  They are 4x4 and have one of my photos on the front which has been protected with modge podge and spray sealer.  They have fleece on the bottom to protect your furniture.

Photo Coasters - Singles

I've chosen to repackage my photo coasters into singles in hopes of them selling better.  In the sets the information was on the back and since they were in the show case customers could not see what was in the set.  They were also laying flat so I decided they should be upright to be more visible.

I have put a 3.25 inch square inside with the information for care and the details of construction as well as credits.

They were sealed in cellophane and a round price sticker tag was attached.

I made a rack to hold them that allows 2 side by side standing up.

I delivered 8 of them to the gallery today.

AAC Gallery - Photo Coasters

With good sales in December at the gallery I brought 3 more sets today.

This is the sunlit mountains called the Three Sisters in Canmore.  I was on a trip with my sister.

This set has 4 of the same photo.

The top is well protected with a layer of Modge Podge and a layer of matte spray acrylic.  The bottom has a layer to protect the furniture.

This set has Wild Stripes in the form of tigers and zebras.

The set contains 2 of each photo.

This set is called Winged Ones and features a Bumble Bee on a Globe Thistle.

The Blue Morpho was taken at the Butterfly Conservatory in the Niagara region of Ontario.

Above is the Goliath Birdwing Butterfly which a very large butterfly which I photographed at the same Conservatory in Ontario.

The Lady Bug is sitting on the silver leaf of the perennial Forget Me Not plant.

Photo Coasters

With the poor results from my last sale I decided that I needed to expand my products with my photography as cards and calendars are not as sought out as they once were.  After a lot of thought, tossing and turning in the middle of the night the idea of photo coasters came to mind.

With a bit of research on-line and digging through old craft supplies which I kept through the de-stashing this summer I found Chipboard Coasters.  Being square they pair up really nicely with the 4x4 photos I have designed for photo calendars.

Digging through what I had on hand a put together several sets.  It was a long process as 3 times one has to wait while things dry and press.   I am very happy with the end result.

I backed the coasters with fleece because that is what I had on hand, it does not ravel and is easily cut with scissors or a rotary cutter.
