HB Gift Card Set

Here's the set of cards I made for my niece.  She likes cards but with 2 little ones making them sometimes is a challenge.  I used the My Minds Eye - Indie Chic - Nutmeg "Hanging Out" Roses double sided paper. This is the flip side.  I use the Sizzix Framelits Die - Card, Royal Flip-its which as 11 pieces so a lot of options without using the flip part of the set.  Left - I layered a piece of the DSP onto a yellow card then die cut a hole in the center with one of the framelits.  I then cut the corresponding layers to create the accent. I placed a strip of brown card stock across the center then mounted the accent with 3D foam tape.  Added a small daisy punchie in the center.

Right - A brown card with a layer of DSP adhered to it.  Over that a strip of brown and then a strip of yellow onto which I stamped the HB greeting in brown.

Left - I started with a yellow card.  I used an edgelit in the set to cut the bottom edge of the DSP layer.  I cut a brown to layer behind the DSP one.  A strip of brown card stock with an accent again cut from the framelits in the set.   I put a yellow daisy punchie in the centre and mounted the accent with 3D foam tape.
Right - This an actual flip it card made with the set.  It's so easy to use these sets because it cuts all the pieces just the right size.  The card is cut from yellow then the 2 front layers were cut in the DSP.  Just adhere.  I cut the accent on the front with the different framelits in the set that are nesting in size.  The smaller brown piece is a frame into which I put a brown daisy punchie.

These framelits sets allow you to create cards very quickly!  A cool tool. I would highly recommend adding a set to your tool set.

HB - Indie Chic - Nutmeg Card

This is the card I made for my niece who is celebrating a birthday this week.   I used the Sizzix Framelits Die - Card, Royal Flip-its which I recently acquired.  The designer paper I used is My Mind's Eye Indie Chic Nutmeg "Hanging Out" Roses. This is the flip side.  This card was not cut to flip.  I used a regular brown card.  I cut the DSP with the one piece from the set and then the matching yellow card stock with the matching piece. These were adhered to the card front.  I then ran a piece of yellow gross grain ribbon across the center horizontally through a slit in the fold of the card on the left and taped the ends to the inside of the card.  I created the accent with the many coordinating framelits in the set.  Larger in the same brown as the card, the next layer same yellow.  This framelit applies the texture you see and leaves the centre oval not embossed.  I traced the oval with a marker while the framelit was still on the die cut. I punched a small daisy and adhered it in the centre of the oval.  The greeting was stamped in brown and I corner rounded the 4 corners and rubbed the edges with the same marker I used for the oval.  This is one of her favorite papers.  I will post the cards later.

Card Club - Feb - Dragonfly Trio

This card was made with the Sizzix Framelits Die Set 10PK - Card, Triple Square Flip-its.  I chose double sided designer paper.  I chose to highlight the red and cut squares to put in each of the flips.  I punched white dragonflies and adhered in each of the red squares.  I then cut white squares for the back of the trio flips and neutral layers for the back of the card to allow the person giving to have a place to write their sentiments.  That meant 12 pieces for each card.  Needless to say that was a lot of work. I ended up finding a square on my Cricut Cartridges - Wrap it Up  which I allowed me to cut the white back side squares way quicker.

I made several color options with this card which added to the time needed to make those selections.
I wished I had single square flip-it. Lesson learned.

Card Club - October - Flip It

I had to use my Sizzix Flip - Its framelits again.  I just love them because you can create a card fast.
I cut the card base in dark brown.  I cut the left and right hand layers from designer paper.  I cut the circle from mustard card stock.  I cut a pear from the designer paper and glued it on.  I have added a white layer on the back to allow a person to provide a greeting to the person receiving the card.
For card kits I cut the scallop circle from the designer paper and added daisies and 5 petal punches with small circles for the centres.

From this sample I've learned to avoid striped paper.  I punched large daisies in ivory and green with a green .5 inch circle.

Card - Swirly Flip It

Another Sizzix Flip It Card.  I cut the card with green card stock with the framelit card base.  I added swirly designer paper in yellow and green on the left and right side layers.  I cut the largest scallop in the framelit set in yellow and then die cut some Sizzix swirl in the same green color as the card.  Glued those on the scallop circle.  I have added a bond piece on the back to give a place to put a sentiment.
I'm sending this one out to someone on my card exchange group.

Card - Flip Card Cherry Damask

I made this card for one of my on-line card exchanges.  I'm loving this Sizzix Flip Its Framelit set a lot.  It allows me to quickly make cards. I cut the flip card base in a cherry card stock.  I then cut the 2 side layers from a damask designer paper.  I cut a scallop circle in damask and layered 2 large punched daisies onto it, cut in ivory and cherry.  I added a red sequin under the brad to just cut down the size of the ivory centre on the flower.  All held in place with an ivory brad.I put a smaller damask circle on the back of the central element to hide the brad.

The Sizzix Flip Its framelits sets are well thought out and better compared to others being offered on the market.
