Watercolor Card - Congrats on Grad

This card is for my grand neice who graduated from high school.

The ceremony was June 8th which 4 days after I took possession of this place that needed so much work that I could not get away.

We are celebrating this weekend as they are in town.

The card is SU Elegant Eggplant.  The seam binding is SU Marina Mist.  I layered the 3 pieces of watercolor over and below the ribbon which was wrapped around and knotted to the front of the card.  Added a SU Word window greeting.

They are headed to college soon.

Graduation Card - Sunburst

I made this card for my niece who is graduating from high school this year.

I started with a royal blue card. I then cut 2 pieces of card stock to 4.00 x 5.25 inches, one white and one yellow.  I cut the yellow one with the Stampin Up Sunburt Thin Die and layered it onto the white one.  Once adhered together this layer was adhered to the card front. I created a graduation cap by punching 2 squares 1.50 and 1.25 inches with my Creative Memories Double Square punch.  I layered the blue onto the larger black.  I created a tassel with yellow crochet cotton. I held in place on the hat with  a tiny white star brad.  I punched a SU decorative label the royal blue card color and added a SU Word Window greeting in yellow.  These were adhered together then adhered to the card front with 3D foam tape.

Congratulations Card

I made this card for a baby shower I am attending on the weekend.
I started with a Stampin Up Night of Navy card.  I created the white spatter layer with a Night of Navy reinker, a drop of water and a toothbrush onto white photo paper.  I cut the large scallop at the top from Old Olive card stock with the SU Sizzix Big Shot Large Scallop Edgelits Die.  I wrapped a piece of Grosgrain Stitched ribbon in the NofN color. This layer was adhered aligned along the top of the card. I've placed 2 tiny white brads on either end to keep them adhered to the card front. I placed 2 lengths of Old Olive Washi Tape from the Santa & Co. Designer Series across the bottom third of the card.  I stamped the greeting in NofN onto white with the congratulations one from the Perfect Punches set. It is adhered to the card front with 3D foam tape.  I adhered 3 buttons in Old Olive with Zot along the right edge of the white layer.

Card Club - May - Handmade Paper Flower

I had a request from some of the girls for wedding cards so this what I made.  I found a frame on CLKER which I modified. I made it a medium grey color and printed directly onto the card.  I then adhered a white doily inside the frame and trimmed the rest off below the greeting.  I adhered a handmade paper flower accent I purchased to the center of the doily.  I printed a greeting in the same color as the frame. It was trimmed close the the border with scissors. It was large and stretched across the width of the card.  It was adhered to the card with 4 pieces of 3D foam tape.

It turned out well.

I had flowers in other colors like green, turquoise, pink, peach.

Card - Same Sketch

I used the same sketch as this card but this time it's not a Christmas card.
I started with the die cut made with the Tim Holtz Cabinet Card die.  I cut the designer card stock to just under 3.5" and ran it through the Big Shot which eliminated the second notch.  I cut a circle that matched the top with a Spellbinder Nestabilities in white.  I found a greeting in my stash and trimmed it to fit along bottom of the die cut.  I added a length of white seam binding wrapped between the circle and the greeting and tied in a knot with the ends trimmed.  I added a white flower cut with the Tim Holtz Tattered Flowers die in the middle of the circle with small white flower all held in place with a blue mini brad.  This was mounted on a white card which had a layer of silver paper adhered to it leaving a small border.

Card - CST Challenge #7 - Baby

A card for a baby is the CST challenge this week. I checked earlier this week and the cards were pink so decided on a boy's card. I started with a white card. I added a piece of striped paper then a blue crinkled paper. I printed the sentiment on red card stock, trimmed it and placed over the join of the decorative papers. Use white yarn in the button then glue dot to keep it in place. The top need something so I tried several options until these stars punchies were just right.
