Graduation Card

A card for my sister who has graduated from her university business program.   She has been attending night classes for a long time and she is finally done!

I chose school colors for the card of black and maroon.  I started with the black card base.  The background is a large hand decorated tag with white acrylic paint.  I added gold ribbon which adds a bit of celebrate to the card.  I put one piece wrapped around the tag and the other coming down from the top of the card.  I flagged the end of the shorter piece.  The grad cap was created with my Creative Memories Double Square punch. Larger in maroon and smaller in black.  I then tied a tassel from some gold cording and held in place with a black brad.   It was mounted over the top piece of gold ribbon with 3D foam tape.  The greeting is the Stampin Up Modern Label punchie in maroon with a white Word Window greeting.

Happy Graduation during COVID19.

Graduation Card - Sunburst

I made this card for my niece who is graduating from high school this year.

I started with a royal blue card. I then cut 2 pieces of card stock to 4.00 x 5.25 inches, one white and one yellow.  I cut the yellow one with the Stampin Up Sunburt Thin Die and layered it onto the white one.  Once adhered together this layer was adhered to the card front. I created a graduation cap by punching 2 squares 1.50 and 1.25 inches with my Creative Memories Double Square punch.  I layered the blue onto the larger black.  I created a tassel with yellow crochet cotton. I held in place on the hat with  a tiny white star brad.  I punched a SU decorative label the royal blue card color and added a SU Word Window greeting in yellow.  These were adhered together then adhered to the card front with 3D foam tape.

Card - Grad Cap

I made this card for someone at work.  We know someone who attended her convocation recently.

I chose the university colors - red, black and gold.  I started with a red card. Then cut a piece of gold card stock and embossed it with the Cuttlebug Typeset embossing folder.  I layered that to a piece of black card stock.  I added a gold splattered strip over the join on the right hand side.  I created a gradation cap with a piece of black, layered with gold, layered again with black.  I added a bit of texture on the small black with my score pal.  I created a tassel with gold thread.  It is held in place with a large black brad.  The cap is adhered to the card front with 3D foam tape.
