2022 Reunion Photo Booklet for Mom

Every time we have a big family reunion on Mom's side of the family I prepare a set of the semi formal photos taken during the event.

On recent reunions I have been the official family photographer so that works out well.

This year was no different.  This was the first one since the start of the COVID pandemic and the numbers were smaller than usual.

I had prepared the photos and ordered the prints in the 5x7 format.  I was not able to make the holder this year because my stuff is in storage.  Thankfully, my sister agreed to make the black 8.5 x 8.5 inch holder with the Zutter binding at the top.  Thanks Sis for helping out with this project.

I quickly created this front cover showing my nieces trailer that Mom stayed in this summer while she was at reunion.  The canola field on the right looks a bit wonky but such is life.

I hand wrote all the documentation for the 12 photos in the folder.  With a 5x7 in landscape orientation I had a 2 inch strip of white card stock to write out the names of those in the photo.

Mom & Dad's family had the most family members in attendance - I believe we were 20 people. Mom, her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Several of Mom's siblings have passed. We had family members from 8 of the 14 siblings. Some live out of province and travel is difficult.

I created a bit of a label for the back page.

Some of the pages only had a couple of people in the photo.

Mom is the 3rd oldest of the original family and we are pretty committed to attend as long as we can.

Mom appreciates being able sit with the book and look at her people.  When I gave it to her on Friday she recognized every one and knew which of her siblings families they belonged to.

I hope it brings her comfort in the days to come to remember being there with her family and siblings.

2016 Ready2Fill Calendar - Soft Serenity DSP

Here's another DIY calendar for someone to create photo calendars from their favorite images.  This one features Soft Serenity Designer Paper cut to 5.5x7.5 inches. It's nice and soft colors. The photo on the left is the front page. I've placed a bit of information in the frame. The inner frame makes it easy to line up your 4x6 photo when adhering your photo. If you are giving the calendar you can select a special photo for the front page and cover the text just leaving the 2016 on the bottom of the page.

The photo on the right are the 4 other colors in the designer series which provides a coordinated look to the overall calendar.  The pages are 8.5x11 inches and are held together with a Zutter metal OWire binding.  I've placed a hole in the top centre to hang it.

2016 Ready2Fill Calendar - Black & White

I worked on a DIY calendar for someone to create photo calendars from their favorite images.  I decided to keep the color scheme neutral and went with black and white.  The photo on the left is the front page. I've placed a bit of information in the frame. The inner frame makes it easy to line up your 4x6 photo when adhering your photo. If you are giving the calendar you can select a special photo for the front page and cover the text just leaving the 2016 on the bottom of the page.

The photo on the right are the 4 other B&W textures I found on free clipart and patterns websites. I chose 2 bold images and 2 line drawing images to provide some interest to the overall calendar.  The pages are 8.5x11 inches and are held together with a Zutter metal OWire binding.  I've placed a hole in the top centre to hang it.

My 2014 Tall & Slim calendar is ready.  This calendar allows you to create a gift in a jiffy!  Add thirteen 4x6 photos and it's ready!
I used black card stock.  Printed the calendars on 24lb bond paper and trimmed to size. Added a Zutter binding. You can check my calendar page for more details.

Calendars - Tall & Slim Scriptures

I created these calendars from my 4x11 blank calendars.  For the top one I printed selected scriptures onto Designer Paper and glued them down. For the bottom one, I printed the scriptures on card stock and trimmed them.  I rubbed the edges of the rectangles with a black ink pad.

2012 Photo Calendar

I've created a new calendar of flower photos again this year.  I changed the format to 5.5" x 8.5" which allows me to use photos in the landscape orientation. I chose flowers again this year because that was quick and easy.  I selected some black and white graphics for backgrounds and placed the photo in the middle of the background. I produced the calendar part in Publisher.  I printed the covers on card stock and the pages on 28 lb paper. I placed a small hole at the top below the binding with my Cropadile. I used Bind It All coil in my Zutter machine to bind the top.  I'm happy with the results.
