Anniversary Card - 67 years

Mom and Dad celebrate their 67th Wedding Anniversary this week.  Love does endure.

I chose an ivory card base.  I added a layer of Anna Griffin designer paper leaving a small border.

I wrapped a piece of moss green satin ribbon around the designer paper, taped the ends to the back and adhered the layer to the card front.

I created the focal element with 2 Stampin Up Sweetheart punches in off white.  I embossed them then mounted them to the gold scallop oval.  The oval was adhered over the ribbon on the card front with 3D foam tape.

Wishing them many more years of love and happiness.

Anniversary Card

Mom and Dad will celebrate 66 years of marriage this week.  I mailed a card last week.

I started with a pink card.  I added a piece of blue handmade paper adhered with quick dry adhesive.  I added a piece of satin ribbon at the top held with tiny pink brads and white flower sequins.

I added 2 light pink hearts below the ribbon adhered with 3D foam tape.  They are punchies done with the Stampin Up Sweetheart punch.

I added an oval greeting in the bottom right hand corner adhered with 3D foam tape.

Hopefully, it arrived on time.

St. Patrick's Birthday

I have been making a St. Patrick's Happy Birthday card for my friend for a few years.  It is a 5x7 card.

I chose the designer paper by Bo-Bunny Press - Witches Brew.  Cut it to size to leave a small border and glued it to the front of a garden green card base.

I printed the sentiment on light green card stock offset to accommodate the stem. Ripped the top and bottom edges to expose the white core. It was adhered to the card front.

I use the Stampin Up Sweetheart Punch with the same light green card stock and punched 3 of them. I cut the stem by hand.  I chalked the edges with 2 colors of green.  I glued the stem with Scotch Quick Dry Adhesive then aligned the 3 hearts to make a shamrock.  I added 3 small darker hearts onto the large ones.

Happy with how it turned out.

Up Cycled Cards

A friend asked me to up cycle some commercial cards she received and meant something to her.

This is a sisters' Happy Birthday card.  It was a shaped card so I trimmed the folded edge then trimmed the blue to match the rest of the edges.

I chose a pink card in the half sheet size (5.5 x 8.5 inches) and added a strip of purple textured card stock.  I ripped both sides of the 2 inch strip.  It was adhered to the card front aligned to the left of center.

I then adhered the sisters layer with 3D foam tape aligned along the bottom of the card.

A custom insert was included with purple lettering.

This card is one of my designs which I turned into a wedding card.

I added a light blue card base leaving a small border of color.

I printed a custom insert in light blue lettering to match the card base.

The hearts are Stampin Up Sweet Heart punchies cut from non shed silver glitter. Mounted on a vellum circle.

I added a silver thread across the bottom tied around the embossed layer.

This card is a Christmas card for sending wishes across the miles.  She has received it from family in the Maritimes but next year she will no doubt be mailing back to Alberta with Christmas wishes.

She is moving to be close to her son in Nova Scotia.

I love the little rabbit reaching to post his card in the mail box.

I trimmed the original card a bit and adhered it to the front of a red card to coordinate with the letters.

I added a custom insert in this card to go with the sentiment started on the front of the card.

This card spoke to me of the Maritimes.  It was in my stash so I up cycled it for my friend.

The gulls are waiting for lunch as the fishermen arrive from the sea with the boats loaded with fish.  Bound to be some tasty bits for them.

I chose a blue layer to place behind the trimmed card.

I chose a kraft colored card and added a narrow grosgrain ribbon across the top.  I then adhered the boat layer to the card front with double sided tape.

Card - St. Patrick's Day Birthday

I made this card for a friend again this year.

Her aunt celebrates her birthday on March 17th St. Patrick's day and appreciates a special card.

I cut the card base from warm textured card stock.

I then printed the special greeting onto a piece of bright green card stock which was trimmed to leave a small border.

I chose some striped green designer paper by Graphics 45 - Twas the Night before Christmas. This is the reverse side.  I punched 4 hearts with the Stampin Up Sweetheart punch keeping the lines perpendicular.  The stem was handcut from a scrap of the same paper.

I added a large bright green flower brad to the center of the arrangement.

It is off to be mailed shortly.

St. Patrick's Day Birthday

I made this card for a friend whose aunt celebrates her birthday on St. Patrick's Day.

I chose a warm green card base.  I added a few stripes of vellum which were adhere to the inside of the card  then flipped forward to cover the front. I added some double sided tape down the card which will be covered by the greeting.

The greeting was printed on bright warm green card stock and then I ripped the bottom and top edges.  It was adhered aligned to the bottom of the card front.

I punched 3 hearts from plaid green glitter paper with the Stampin Up Sweetheart punch.  I cut a stem by hand with scissors.  I added 3 small hearts over the glitter ones adhered with 3D foam tape.  The shamrock was assembled and glued in place with double sided tape.

The white narrow ribbon was added just above the greeting. I used a 1/8" circle punch to create a small hole in the fold on the left hand side.  I ran a length of the ribbon twice through and tied a knot on the right hand side of the card.

I added an Irish Blessing on the inside.
