Card Club - November - White Dove on Star

I started with the felt star ornament.  I added a red and gold glitter ribbon through the hanger.

I designed the greeting layer, printed it on white card stock and trimmed it to leave a small border. I adhered it to a grey card front.

I printed a clipart earth onto vellum and gold embossed them.  I punched them out with a 1.75 inch circle punch by Stampin Up.

I placed the ornament on the card front, used a push pin to create a hole through to the inside of the card front for the brad.  I inserted the prongs of the white dove brad through and spread the prongs apart on the inside of the card.

Trimmed the ends of the ribbon.

Card Club - November - Snowman Wonder

I started with the Tim Holtz die called Winter Wonder.
I then chose my designer paper which is from the My Mind's Eye - Countdown to Christmas 12x12 glitter pad.  This layer was trimmed to leave a small border and adhered to the front of a red card.

I cut the snowman from ivory textured card stock to go with the designer paper. I wrapped a length of red thread around his neck, knotted it and trimmed the ends.  I adhered him to the card front aligned to the left to leave room for the star. I added a blue felt snowflake sticker to his belly.

I then placed the red star sequin to the top right hand corner, used a push pin to create the hole in the centre through to the card front only.  Pushed through the prongs of a tiny red metallic brad and pressed the prongs apart on the inside.

Card Club - November - Gift Trio

I started with the green glitter polka dot square of handmade paper.  These were left over from this Christmas card which was in the centre of the frame.

I designed the greeting layer with 3 gifts on the bottom and a large greeting on the top. I used digital bow image I designed a while ago. This layer was adhered to the front of a Christmas green card.

The red bow was cut with the Lil' Inkers Gift Bow Topper from red card stock.  This is then adhered to the green glitter square and trimmed as needed.

Now adhere the gift to the large square frame on the greeting layer.

Card Club - November - Round Felt Ornament

I started with an olive card onto which I adhered a layer of designer paper by My Mind's Eye - The Merry Days of Christmas -"All Aglow" to leave a small border.
I trimmed the tag close to the border with scissors and punch a 1/8 inch hole in the top.  I added the white cotton thread and tied at knot.
I then added the blue ribbon to the white felt ornament but did not pull it taut.
I used a push pin to make a hole for the red star brad through the hole in the hanger of the ornament.  Make sure to only make a hole through the card front.
I pushed the red brad prongs through the hole. Now I hang the tag onto the red brad then press the prongs apart on the inside of the card. Now I can pull the blue ribbon taut and trim the ends.

We plan to have a few goodies as this is our last class till the new year.  We will be spending time with the quilting group with which we share a space.

Card Club - October - Masculine Stripes

I started with a double sided designer paper by WeRMemory Keepers - Urban Window Collection - Restoration Silk Taffeta.

I chose a warm grey card base.

I cut the designer paper to 5.25x4.00 inches then again at 3.5 inches cross wise. These pieces are tape back together so I can handle them as a single piece.

I cut some silver sticky tape to 1 inch wide and 6.00 long.  This was placed over the join and the ends were put to the back.
This layer was adhered to the card front in a landscape orientation.

I created a banner greeting in grey and about 3" long. I fussy cut around the banner along the line. I adhered to the card front with 3D foam tape.

Card Club - October - Playing Cards

I had these pretty playing cards which I wanted to use as an accent on a card.

I diecut the cards into a smaller circle with Spellbinder Smooth Round Nestabilities.

I drew a flower in More Mustard and added a stem in Old Olive.  I added a leaf with a gradient fill.  This was printed on white card stock and trimmed to leave a small border.

This layer was added to a warm green card base.

I then adhered the card circle to the center of the flower.

Card Club - October - Green & Blue Stickers

I started with a collection of epoxy daisy stickers in blue and green.

I used the large greeting I've used before which was trimmed to leave a small border.  I chose a warm green color that worked well with the stickers.

I adhered the large greeting to the card front in turquoise.

I then adhered five epoxy stickers above the greeting making sure to keep the colors and glitter ones separated.

Card Club - October - Japanese Paper

It's another card club tonight as well as Be Prepared for Christmas class which means a full evening for me.

I decided to keep the cards on the simple side since we are making them after the Advent class.

This card features a wonderful piece of Japanese paper cut 1.00 x 3.25 inches.

I added a tree onto the card front which I found at CKLER.  I chose the colors from the paper. Really Rust, Bashful Blue, Sahara Sand, More Mustard and Early Espresso.

I created a rectangle frame in which we can glue our paper.

I've provided greetings in EE for those who want to have one on their cards.  I used the Stampin Up Artisan Label Punch.

Card Club - Incentive - Watercolor Thank Yous

These are cards I made for those ladies who signed up for all classes in this semester.
I painted watercolor onto small textured card stock Thank You cards with a medium paint brush.  On this set I painted a few brush strokes over the silver foil word.  I really like these.

These I painted a larger area on the card front in several different colors. I generally chose at least 2 to 3 shades of a same color.  I adjusted the level of water as well.

These were pressed under books over night.

Card Club - Sept - Square Greeting

I wanted to include a card suitable for male recipients.
I chose an olive card and this designer paper from Bella Boulevard - One Fall Day by Stephanie Hunt - Needle in a Haystack. It was trimmed to leave a small border.
I then wrapped a piece of wide So Saffron ribbon across the bottom third of the designer paper piece and taped the ends to the back.
I trimmed the greeting close to the border then layered it onto a deep teal layer.  The greeting was adhered to the card front with 3D foam tape.

Card Club - Sept - Floral Lattice Die

I started with the Stampin Up Lattice die cut from black card stock.
I then chose some small handmade paper flowers from Prima.
I selected a card which coordinated with the flowers.
I cut a piece of white card stock to leave a small border.  This layer was adhered to the card front.
The lattice die cut was adhered to the top of the card front leaving room for the greeting below.
I placed holes in the 5 intersections as shown with a push pin.  I then placed an iridescent flower sequin on a tiny black brad and then the turquoise flower. I pushed the prongs through the holes in the card front and spread the prongs apart on the inside of the card.
I glued the greeting punched with the Stampin Up Word Window punch onto the SU Modern Label punchie in a coordinating color.  This greeting was then adhered to the card front with 3D foam tape.

Card Club - Sept - Warm Flowers

I designed a classic DSP split. I chose designer paper from We R Memory Keepers - Grandma's Kitchen - Pretty Pinwheel.  I cut it to 5.25x4.00 inches then cut again at 3.5 inches.  I flipped the small piece and taped the piece back together.  I place a piece of caramel ribbon along the join and taped the ends to the back.  This layer was adhered to the front of an ivory card.  I chose 3 warm colored handmade paper flowers which matched well with the paper. I placed the flower onto the ribbon and used a push pin make a hole through only the card front. I took a copper tiny brad, added a gold flower sequin, and place the brad through the large flower and the card front in the hole I just made.  Pressed the brads apart on the inside of the card.

Card Club - Sept - Bright Balloons

I created a bright card with balloons.  The balloons are punchies done with the Martha Stewart punch. The balloons were punched from designer paper scraps in my drawer. I chose papers that coordinated.  In this case the patterned and solid solids. I created a greeting layer and chose the colors according to the colors in the balloons.  The greeting layer is glued to the card front.  The balloons are then adhered to the greeting layer at the end of the balloon strings.

Card Club - June - Floral Metal Accent

I chose the metal accent first.
I then cut a white circle with Spellbinder smooth circles at 2 3/8" just a bit larger than the metal circle. I cut the coordinating scallop circle from pink card stock.  I chose pink ribbon which matched the pink scallop.  I embossed a piece of white card stock with the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder. I placed a piece of ribbon across the bottom third of the embossed layer and tape the ends to the back.  I then tied the shorter piece onto it.  This layer was then adhered to the card front.
I then assembled the scallop accent by adhering the white circle to the pink scallop.  I tacked this layer to the card front.  I then used a push pin to make holes for the 3 small brads.  These are blue which matched the card of the card. I pushed the prongs through the holes and spread them apart on the inside of the card.

Card Club - June - Polka Dots Birthday

I chose a kraft card.  I matched it with polka dot designer paper which was cut to leave a small border.  I cut an ivory greeting label with the Stampin Up Apothecary label.  I then stamped the greeting from the For a Friend stamp set with a warm green ink pad.  I pulled the caramel seam binding ribbon through the holes of the label and wrapped around the DSP layer.  I placed 3D foam tape behind the label and attached to the DSP layer leaving enough ribbon on the right to make a bow.  I adhered the DSP layer to the card front. I tied the bow and trimmed the ends with scissors.

Card Club - June - Star Birthday

I printed the greeting layer.  I wrapped the diecut open border around both ends and taped the ends to the back of the white layer.  I placed the black polka dots washi tape below the greeting.  I ripped the bottom edge of the greeting layer then adhered it to the card front. Decide on the placement of your star brads.  I used a push pin to create holes through the card front then placed the prongs of the red star brads through spreading them apart on the inside of the card.

Card Club - June - Photo Frame

We are having card club today.

Left: Another photo frame card.  I chose a card that coordinated with the photo.  I added a piece of 7/8" grosgrain ribbon down the center of the card and taped the ends to the inside of the card.  Make sure your layout to ensure the photo will be in the orientation. I added 3D foam tape on the back of the frame and adhered it over the ribbon onto the card front. Ensure that the photo is still aligned then adhere the square inside the frame.

Below:  I chose a card that coordinated with the photo.   The ribbon was taped to the inside of the card and pull across the card.  It was taped in place where the square would cover later. It was cut short and the end was flagged.

Versatile design which easily allowed tall or wide orientations.

Card Club - May - Nautical Father's Day

I trimmed the cards to 3.75 x 5.00 inches.  I chose a blue card which coordinated with one of the colors in the decorative card stock.  I color printed the greetings in navy on white and punched them out with the Stampin Up Decorative Label punch. I then punched another label from navy card stock.  It was cut in half cross wise.  I trimmed the points from the center cut then adhered the navy halves to the back of the greeting offsetting them on the right and left hand sides.  This greeting accent is adhered to the card front with 3D foam tape aligned on the line of chain on the decorative layer.

The alternative is to cut your label lengthwise and offsetting them top and bottom instead.

I could have placed my label horizontally  across the navy stripes and make the orientation landscape wide instead of portrait tall.

Card Club - May - Daisy

I cut my decorative card stock to 3.75" x 5" and punched the corners with a corner rounder.  I chose several colors of card stock for these card kits.  This one is a warm dark green.  I placed a piece of orange grosgrain ribbon across the bottom 1/3 of the decorative piece.  I taped the ends to the back. This layer was then adhered to the card front. I punched the daisies with a large punch from coordinating aqua card stock. The white is just the back side of the aqua card stock. The daisy accent is adhered over the ribbon.  The white pearl button is adhered to the flower with a Zot. The colors of card in the kits are aqua and orange along with this dark green.

This card has the orange card base with a coordinating orange button in the middle of the flower.  I've decided to use in the tall portrait orientation as well.  Great versatility.

Card Club - May - Layered Squares

This card features layered squares.  I punched the squares with a Creative Memories 1 1/4 & 1 1/2 inch Double Square Paper Punch, which makes even borders really easy.  The smaller one is cut from the decorative card stock and the larger one from coordinating red paper. The patterned square was adhered onto the larger solid red square leaving an even border.  I created the taupe parchment layer with the square and greeting printed in navy.  This layer is adhered to the kraft card front.  I adhered four squares into the printed square.  I adhered a fifth square place on the diagonal in the center of the 4 squares. This one is adhered with 3D foam tape.  I flagged both ends of a half inch strip of the decorative card stock and adhered it below the greeting.  This makes a cool masculine card.
