Card Club Kit - Set 3 - Card 2

Easter cards may be part of our seasonal card needs in this kit so I included one with a double sided greeting so those who what an alternative greeting have one.

I started with designer paper from BasicGrey - Sweet Threads - Weekend Look.  I cut the 12x12 into six 5.25 x 4.00 inch pieces.  Then I cut those again at the 3.5 inch mark to create a split layer. I turned over the small piece and tape them back together at the back. I then adhered that layer onto the pink car.

The greeting was color printed in a bright green onto pale yellow card stock.  To give the card makers an option and I printed an alternative greeting on the back. I chose the Easter greeting side for my card. I ripped the top and bottom edge and adhered it over the join in the designer paper.

Christmas Tree Greeting

I started by selecting the green glitter card stock.  I cut it with the Memory Box Merry Christmas Tree die.  I found a piece of DSP from Basic Grey - Life of the Party - Shindig which is wood grain.
I felt the tree shape need to be more defined. Therefore, I cut a piece of clear plastic to create a stencil of the basic tree shape and adding a trunk.  I placed the stencil on the DSP and sponged brown ink inside the shape and brushed the edges of the DSP rectangle as well. I adhered the die cut over the stenciled area.
I cut an extra large star and one of the small star from bright green card stock.  I adhered the large one offset from the original one at the top of the tree and the tiny one was adhered right over the "i" in Christmas.
The designer paper was adhered to the warm taupe card.

Any Occasion Cards - Butterflies

I made several of these and will give them to the family today at the funeral.  At this difficult time, there should be no need to run to the store for cards.  During these difficult times people pitch in and help as needed and a card of appreciation is always a nice thing to do.  The family can do as they wish with the cards and I hope they come in handy.
Another Basic Grey DSP - Granola ripped and mounted onto a black card.  The ivory canvas butterfly was hot glued to the card front.

Sympathy Cards

I made these cards for my brother in law and his family. His father Joe had a stroke in June 2015 and has been in hospital and extended care since that time.  He passed away Sunday and the funeral is today.  I have shared many meals with this man as the families lived near each other and extended family was included in birthday and other celebrations. He will be sorely missed.  I believe he is in a better place.

The pear paper is by Basic Grey DSP. One card is coordinated with teal card stock and the other with a brown card.  The greetings are Stampin Up Word Window punchies.  I have hot glued ivory canvas butterflies on all three.  On the 2 pear ones I have added grosgrain ribbon in coordinating colors.

The polka dot paper is by Bella Blvd - One Fall Day - Needle in a Haystack.
