Cards - A7 - Florals

I needed a distraction today so I put my hands to making some cards for my stash.

I found some A7 (5.25 x 7.25 inches) envelopes which were free when received so nice to destash.

The floral designer paper I chose is by Anna Griffin in this grey brown color cut to about 4 inches.

The dark layer is some Early Espresso in Co-ordinations style which means it has a colored core and folding the card stock reveals that color so I used it for the layer and band instead.

The script paper at the bottom designed by Blue Fern Studios - Paisley & Vine - Bohemian.

The card base is Stampin Up Sahara Sand.  A white sheet insert and ivory envelope.

This card has the same components.

I cut the floral paper to leave a large board all the way around then cut a Early Espresso layer leaving a narrower border.

SU Sahara Sand is the A7 card base used in the landscape orientation.

I cut a band of the dark brown card stock and flagged the end. Using 3 ivory mini brads I adhered it to the 2 other layers.

This full layer was then adhered to the card base with double sided tape.

A white insert and an ivory envelope.

For this card I chose a Stampin Up More Mustard card base to fit in an A7 envelope.

I cut the floral designer paper by Anna Griffin in the mustard color to leave a wide border all the way around.

I layered a piece of Early Espresso card stock behind leave a narrow strip on the left and right sides. These were adhered to each other with double sided tape.

I cut a strip of the dark brown card stock and then added 2 Stampin Up Five Petal punchies in the dark brown and the More Mustard colors with a tiny flower punch in the center all adhered to the layers with a More Mustard mini brad.

A white insert with an ivory envelope.

A Stampin Up More Mustard base to fit in an A7 envelope.

The Early Espresso but to leave a small border all the way around and the mustard floral by Anna Griffin cut a bit smaller to provide an even brown border on all sides.

I added a band running top to bottom on the left hand side of the floral piece.

I punched a Martha Stewart butterfly punchie in More Mustard and adhered it to the 2 previous layers with a yellow mini brad.

This was all adhered to the card front in the landscape orientation.  White insert and an ivory envelope.

Simple Sentiments - Photo - Set 4

I chose a Stampin Up Chocolate Chip A2 card base.

I cut a piece of Summer Sun with the Tim Holtz Cabinet die.  I used the Stampin Up Slot punch to make two slots in the round end of the die.

I adhered the photo to the die cut then pulled the ribbon through then around the card front and back to the front.  This is a Pumpkin Pie colored ribbon.

I then adhered the die cut layer to the card front. I pulled the ribbon taut making sure it was not twisted on the inside of the card. I knotted the ribbon and trimmed the ends. An insert and an envelope.

These photos are from my Gentle Glow Calendar. Love the bokeh backgrounds.

Here is a House Finch in the late fall with no leaves on the trees.  I chose Sahara Sand for the Cabinet diecut.

The card base is Cajun Craze and the ribbon matched so well. It is a beautiful soft ribbon. I just had a short length so I don't know where it came from.  I am down to my last couple sheets of this great color.

Again, slots punched, ribbon threaded through, knots made and the diecut layer adhered to the front.  Quarter sheet insert and envelope.

This is a photo of the top of a metal bistro table taken at the Muttart Conservatory.  Turned out wonderful.  I love the texture and the highlighted edges of by being used over and over by customers.

I used a Brilliant Blue card base and a piece of Smoky Slate card stock for the Cabinet die cut. The ribbon is Night of Navy seam binding.

A quarter sheet insert and white A2 envelope.

Some sweet Common Conecap mushrooms taken at the park down the street.

I chose a Creamy Caramel card stock for the card base.  A Garden Green piece for the Cabinet die cut.  A piece of beige seam binding found in my box.

The assembly as previously described and it was done.  These were fiddly to assemble but I think it was worth it.

A quarter sheet insert and a white envelope.

Sail Boat in Blues

I started with a Stampin Up Sahara Sand card.  I substituted Pool Party for Mint Macaron. I cut a piece of non SU shiny card stock which matches Pool Party to leave a small border. I placed a piece of Night of Navy seam binding on the diagonal on the Pool Party layer and taped the ends to the back.  I knotted a shorter piece onto it in the top right hand corner. I adhered this layer to the Sahara Sand card.

I created the accent with a piece of Night of Navy, a piece of Chevron pattern paper in Sahara Sand from the Adventure Bound designer paper pack.

I chose the Sail Away stamp set in Night of Navy onto Sahara Sand card stock.  These layers were adhere together aligned in the top left corner.
I tied some navy thread into the holes of the Pool Party button and adhered it to the bottom left hand corner with a Zot.

I'm submitting to the following challenges.

Card Club - April - One Sheet Wonder

This card is designed on the One Sheet Wonder concept which allows many cards to be made with a limited amount of designer paper.
This one is Stampin Up  Print Pattern in Sahara Sand with the matching card stock.  The piece of designer paper is adhered to the left hand side of a wide card. The strip of solid card stock is glued over the right hand edge of the designer paper.

The greeting if from the So Happy For You stamp set in the same color as the card was trimmed with scissors to the frame. The greetings were cut to 3 inches. It was then layered onto a square of white card stock.  This layer is adhered to the card front with 3D foam tape centered on the card front. The second card is Really Rust.

Sympathy - Sketch

I made this card for a friend who lost her Mom this week.

I started with a Stampin Up Groova Guava card. I stamped it with Script Background Builder ink Blush Blossom craft ink and clear embossed it. This provided a subtle texture I wanted. I paired this with a Sahara Sand DSP of small flowers.  I made a banner from SS stamped with the same background in the matching ink.  I created the ends with my 2" square punch.  I don't have a SU sympathy stamp so I used the one I have from Stampendous.  It was stamped in Blush Blossom and clear embossed.  Cut with smooth circles in SB Nesties 2.5".  Then I cut a 3" circle from GG onto which I layered my sentiment. This layer was adhered to the card front with 3D foam tape.

Submitting this card to Fab Friday Challenge 58.
