Inktober 2024 - 25 Textures

 Inktober 2024 Challenge

25 - Textures

Sharpie UltraFine marker on Mixed Media Paper.

I created a grid below my title with pencil.

I just doodled textures that appealed to me and labeled them.

A piece to keep around as I work on future pieces when inspiration is waning.

Inktober 2024 - 12 Doodle Around

Inktober 2024 Challenge

12 - Doodle Around

Dip Pen with Black Daler-Rowney Acrylic Ink

on Canson Fluid Mixed Media 154lb paper.

I created the circle then just drew shapes leading out from it.

I then filled each shape with marks being careful to not touch wet areas with my hand.  Not easy but possible with patience.

Triangles, circles, straight lines, wavy lines, scallops all came into play on this piece.

Inktober 2024 - 04 Lake Doodle

Inktober 2024 Challenge - 04 - Lake Doodle.

With life getting in the way, I chose to do a simpler design today.

I am starting out with a piece of 5x7 Canson Fluid Mixed Media 154lb paper.

I chose a lake outline then just doodled around the shape until the outside space was filled in.

I used my new to me Creeks 'n Creeks fountain pen with Parker Quink Blue Black Ink to do all the lines in this piece.

I then filled in the lake with watercolor.  I wanted a bit of texture in the color. I went around the edge with a small brush to add the darker edge.

Home Page Challenge - Doodles

I made this card for a challenge on one of my on-line groups.  The challenge was doodles.  I would not say one of my strong points but I wanted to participate so I went for it.
I found a pumpkin digital image at Graphics Fairy.  I printed it, trimmed it and then added some Tim Holtz Antique Linen Distress Stain to tone down the white in the back ground.  I rubbed the edges of the image with orange dye ink pad.  I used the same ink to do my hand lettering and doodling at the top of the card.  I used a water brush and picked up some dye ink from the pad and added Fall in hand lettering.  I added the doodles to the right.  I stamped the hello within the doodles with a green ink pad  and a small clear stamp.  I then added a shadow to the hand lettering with a green marker.
